    PF: Injuries & Team Prediction

The week off will give us a chance to get over some of the injuries we've incurred lately - and boy do we need it! Here's the list as best as I've been able to compile it.

Creswell (Groin) - Expected to play. Well, he played this week didn't he?

Fosdike (Shoulder) - Expected to play. As above.

Kennelly (Corked Thigh) - Hopeful. Let's just pray it isn't like Plugger's from last year!

Michael O?Loughlin (Hamstring) - Hopeful (1-3 weeks). Should be close to the standard 3 week recouperation period by the preliminary final, and Roos has expressed a willingness to play him half fit.

    O'Keefe (Shoulder) - ???? No solid information. I'm assuming he's a chance.

Jason Saddington (Knee) - Unlikely (1-2 weeks). He may have recovered by the PF, but won't be match fit. Can he get in a reserves game? Is there one on this week?

Seymour (Ankle) - Unlikely. Christy Malthouse said that he had to be comforted by teammates at half time - a bad sign.

Doyle (Hamstring) - Unlikely. Fragile. No form. Not match fit.

    Sundqvist (Hamstring) - Unlikely.

Heath James (Shoulder) - Unlikely. Won't be risked unless 100%.

    No chance:
    Ben Fixter (Hamstring)
    Jason Ball (Shoulder)
    Josh Thewlis (Groin)
    Amon Buchanan (Knee)

So given that (and assuming no more training mishaps - yes, I touched wood ) here's our likely Preliminary Final Team:

    B:___Mathews__Schauble__Crouch
    HB:__Kennelly__C. Bolton___Barry
    C:___Fosdike___Williams___Maxfield
    HF:__Schneider___Hall_____Davis
    F:___Nicks____O'Loughlin__Cresswell

    R:___Goodes___J. Bolton___Kirk

    IC:__LRT__Stevens__Ablett__O'Keefe

    E:___McPherson__Meiklejohn__Powell__Warfe

IMO not a bad team. I left MJ out of the 22 because I just don't think he's up to it. But given LRT and Stevens aren't the best to relieve Goodes, MJ may be a necessity - let the weather decide.

Depends how we decide to replace snapper.
For the prelim, it will probably be one of Warfe or Heath James.
Then Saddington will hopefully come into the mix by the grand final.

Remember LRT in the second half against Adelaide a few weeks ago, he was sensational he got stuck in and at least made a good contest of it and he reasonably quick to clear the ruck and lay a tackle if he needs to. No probls with your selections....take seat at the selection panel!
