How did we celebrate the win?

Ok, I wanna know how each of us celebrated this monumentous win.

Did you cheer, did you hug, did you high five?

Did you run around laughing, or crying?

Or did you feel so physically sick and exhausted that you wanted to throw up? I know I did!

Well All of the above except for the throwing up - now if it had happened last night it might have been another story if I had had a few more drinks at that Wedding

Instead I was sober today for Father's Day being the chaperone for the day which meant no drinking *sigh* but I'll soak up today instead

I had to restrain myself because I was with my outlaws and my grandparents in law.

Yes, I was dying a thousand deaths in the second half, knowing that Port would come back.

I've been sick all week, and got myself up for the day as best I could. But as usual my voice was shot to bits, with attempts at chanting often inducing shrieks of laughter from everyone else.

I'm OK now thanks the the pasta we all ate at Fasta Pasta on South Terrace. But I was a mess after the game. A total wreck. And yes, I DEFINITELY felt like throwing up.

But **** happens. I'll go through last quarters like that again if I get to feel how I felt after the match.

I ran around the house yelling and then nearly threw up as relief set in and I had to sit down!!

                    I was calm.

Then after the final siren i shed a tear. I was over-whelmed. It was too much for me at the time.

I then jumped up and started screaming and singing cheer cheer.

                    What a day!

I was so hyped up after the win that even 7 hours later I couldn't get to sleep. I celebrated by going to the pub for a couple of hours then when I got back I re-read Jim Main's "Plugger and the Mighty Swans". Don't want to get too confident but there are some definite parallels between '96 and 2003!

What I really enjoyed about that last quarter was that we soaked up the pressure by desperation and hung on and hung on...we bottled up the ball with good ol fashioned footy AND DIDN'T start the time-wasting tactics like continually chipping backwards and forwards and across all over the ground ala Essendon...

I'll be crying like a baby well into October if we happen to snare it...

Don't you have a shed to put the baby in?

My girlfriend's parents came to visit us for a cuppa. Thankfully my gf advised them that it wasn't really a good idea and that they should come back around later for dinner
