Who do we want in the Prelim?

Who do you want to play in the Prelim? We have beaten Brisbane twice this year but if we play Adelaide they will be comming off a trip to brisbane.

Neither team has played at telstra stadium before.

Not true! Brisbane played a preseason game against us there.

oh ok Well Id rather play Brisbane cos we've beaten them twice this season but we need O'loughlan back because I think hes been the difference in the two games.

        I'd say Brisbane.
Adelaide have the wood on us, and are just too tall. And carey could rip us apart.
Whereas Brisbane we can beat, and they have injury problems like us.

I would think Brisbane will get home against Adelaide next week purely on home ground advantage.

Don't know, don't care. Whoever it is, we can take 'em.

Will be watching the semi with interest though, to see how they go. I reckon that Roosy will be booking flights to Brisbane tomorrow.

Lions are always dangerous..if they can get a few guys back from injuries and if Voss is fit, they will be hard to beat..mainly because of their experience as a finals unit..

Carey can't play in Sydney...He gets too upset by the fans...I thought Adelaide played liked reserve graders against West Coast on the weekend... I really think they played badly...

I want to play Adelaide, just to hear the anti Carey chant, and because I don't think the crows can beat us..they are far too slow.. and old....In addition Brisbane have a man called Leigh Mathews at the helm , who is always dangerous...

Bring on the Crows and let's see Carey cry!

Yeh, he went to Adelaide 'cause he thought the Swans would be down the bottom and the Crows were a big chance to win a flag this year.........

You hate to say it about a top team but I suspect Brisbane.

Voss has a knee injury - which may or may not improve, they look to be running short on players.

On the negative side Keating and Charman could be a challenge on the positive who would they play on Goodes.

O'Loughlin has been instrumental in us beating them.

IMO opinion their lack of depth to cover injuries will be the telling factor.
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Drive up with Cher and Wendy (if they are coming). Better still, convince the CS to organise a bus!!

And don't forget to clear some floor space for the following w/e when we all trek down south.

With both teams boasting proud finals history it'd be a huge task either way. You'd have to think Adelaide by a nose because we wouldn't want to face a hungry Brissie team who want the elusive 3rd straight... though Brissie could be a bit underdone with injuries

By the law of averages, which seems to have treated us kindly all year, I would rather play Adelaide. I think it is a bit much beating Brisbane 3 times in a season. On the other hand, it is a long time since we beat Adelaide, so like Port before them, it's about time we did it!

After all, isn't this the year of the hoodoo breaker!

While not being cocky....I've actually been very subdued this year... I don't think either of them pose as great a threat as port appeared to be...so, either is eminently beatable, especially at the Olympic Stadium....

We have beaten everybody left in the race, apart from Adelaide (and we even should have won that....)

The way it has worked out, this is perhaps the best result for us to reach the GF. Adelaide and Brizzie will go hell-for-leather for the honour of meeting us. We shd be fresh(ish), relaxed, and focussed...and over any niggling injuries. (PS: I reckon the physio dept will be operating 24 hours a day over the next fortnight....)

And the other GREAT thing about it is it CANT be an Essendon v Wobbles GF... Lets hope Port rips Essendon to pieces next week (or vice versa) then do the same to the pies... A Swans v Port GF...hmmmmm. Would they be caught again? YEP
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
