    O'Loughlin and our forward structure

Magic is obviously a key player but I felt our forward set-up was crisper than any point this year.

The players knew that BBBBH was the man and played accordingly.

At times there seems to be confusion with both Barry and Magic.

How do we get Magic back and keep it working as well as it did today.

To many this is heresy - I know - but I just felt that the players coped alot better with the simplicity of it all.

I agree with you dawson. I've had the same feeling but never really thought about it properly. I think it does create two big targets up forward and confusion is created as a result. This is why Bazza is usually named at CHF.

Still, i think its better to have Magic at FF and Bazza at CHF.

Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Rubbish, they've both been very good this year. Hall began to take some marks today that he was dropping earlier in the year, that's why he managed to kick 6.2. I don't there's any confusion, usually they lead away from each other to give the other player room to work in.

Our forward line is much better with both players in.

a nonsense if you were suggesting MOL is surplus to requirements. Think how both stretch opposition defences. Maybe they took things lightly without him but the difference was that Hall performed yesterday. The most annoying thing about him is his inconsistency and that sometimes when he plays a bad one he rarely contributes. MOL rarely plays an absolute shocker.

Are you talking about this season? I can't recall a single game this year when Hall has made no contribution. Even when he's not holding marks, his ruckwork up forward, his tackling, chasing and harrassing and his work at ground level have been setting up scoring opportunities for the team.

And as for the suggestion that there's no room in the forward line for both he and Micky O', I've never heard anything so daft.

I never said anything about them not playing together.

I said "How do we get Magic back and keep it working as well as it did today."

                  You said it Lizz.

Halls second efforts are always great. He may have games where he only kicks one or two goals, but he sets up another 4 or 5.

Hall has been fantastic this year because when he hasn't been kicking goals, he's been creating them. I believe that Micky and Hall play great together because when one is not having a fantastic game, the other plays well and there have been a couple of times when they both have had fantastic games. Micky at FF and Bazza at CHF is perfect.

I know nobody cares given the result on the W/E, but Hall missed two gettable goals - how good would a bag of 8 goals have been! Mind you, he slotted some beauties!
