    Never be afraid to dream..........

    Hi guys,
a drained but deliriously happy JF here in Adelaide. How many times have I said "this is the best away trip ever", but this was the best away trip EVER!!!!!!!!

The Adelaide footy culture is frigging awesome. Passionate fans waving flags (even at 3/4 time!), and heaps of people getting turpsed at barbeques before the match. Frigging sensational. Seriously, you have to come over here to experience how fun it all is! The locals are on the whole pretty friendly, with many very respectful of our great effort.

I went to two barbeques before the match-one with the Port Outer Army who are frigging legends. Truelly top guys, the lot of them! Very friendly but fiercely passionate about their club. AND, when we creeped into the sad remnants of their group after the match, despite being totally shattered, they welcomed us with open arms. *RESPECT GUYS* I actually said "Sorry" to a couple of them, as I knew they were doing it tough and were going to cop the "Choker" taunts at work all week from the Crow supporters. Their replies were somewhat of bemusement. But hey, maybe they aren't used to humble and gracious winners like us Sydney folk!

I'll chat more when I get home to Sydney, but I'll leave you with one thought-NEVER BE AFRAID TO DREAM.

Think about that thought for a moment. That kind of sums up how I feel right now.

We are 2 games from a flag. Never fear your dreams. Because dreams can come true sometimes!

JF is the one in the Cheer Squad who lead the chants and waves the huge flag.

You might be think of of Peter Hatley who leads the chants in front of the Brewongle. Peter was also at AAMI today, as you would have noticed I'm sure. He was given several prominent shots on TEN.

In this pic Peter is in the middle. JF just in front of him (left and down)

There were a few pictures today of both of them standing together cheering and waving their flags. I assumed they were posing so the SMH could take a photo and do a follow-up piece!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Actually don't laugh. I got called up by Radio 2CC in Canberra as "an interview back-up" for Peter, as they were wanting to contact him on his way home. They finally got through to him on his mobile when he had just passed Hay.

He is now probably passing through Wagga Wagga and should be back in Sydney at about 10pm.

          As Bron said, "Yeah team!"

Now that I know Peter's name, do I have to stop calling him "Dancing Homer"?

Here is another pic of us two in action! It was sent by the guy Peter was staying with in Waikerie SA.

I always wondered who the guy was who stands up and starts the chants in front of the Brewongle. I sit a few bays to the right of him, and every time he stands up, there's these two young kids who do the same in our bay. It's quite amusing really. They don't seem to have the same effect, somehow.

There's also a guy from the Central Coast who goes by the squeaky of either "Squeaky" or "Mickey Mouse" who often tries to do it from the Brewongle half forward line. Once you hear him chanting, you'll know where he gets his nickname from.
