Hi everybody, my name is Bloodboy and I have a huge favour to ask! I am currently in London (Ok, what a stupid year to go, but how was I supposed to know?) and am desperate to find somewhere to watch our Preliminary final LIVE! I know I can find the Grand Final Live (Should we make it that far), but there is nowhere I know that I can watch the prelim! I never usually miss a game you know? This is killing me!

Even though I do realise that pretty much nobody who subscribes to this thread is in London, maybe you know of somewhere? Maybe your brother who has been to London knows somewhere? Maybe your niece who is over here right now knows somewhere (by the way, what's her number ) ) ?...PLEASE, anything will help!

Thanks people...you don't know the pain I am in right now! I'll probably have to find out the score of our Prelim from a text message form my mum!

The trick might be to find a pub with the right satellite channels and a bunch of ex-pats. Contact the BARFL, they might be able to help you..

If it's any consellation bloodboy I am going to be in Munich for the opening weekend of beerfest and will have to survive on Qtr by Qtr text updates from mates!

I will however be in London to watch the Grand Final so hopefully the swannies can do the right thing and let me see them play one more game this season

Make sure you get to watch an FC Bayern Fussball match whilst there.

They do have very good colours you know.

Bloodboy, The Sussex Swans are the Sydney Swans sister team . The Sussex Swans have a second team based in Lodon called The City Swans . I'm sure if you emailed their coach, Nicolas Kemp, he'd be able to point you in the right direction .

One suggestion is to try the web membership at sydneyswans.com.au. Cher said she got a full replay of all our matches on her computer when she was in the USA. The locals were somewhat bemused by her fervour, but it satisfied the craving. Even if it came through a day late.

Friend of my brother is currently in London and said that the following venues are definitely doing the GF.

Islington, Shepherd's Bush, Covent garden, Shoe Lane and Temple Walkabouts are all doing it as is the Elusive Camel at Tower bridge (186 Tooley Street).

Actually due to AFL licensing you cant hear 3aw online during AFL matches. You have to pay for an AFL web subscription to listen to streaming audio. I unfortunately found this out when I was in S. Korea a few months ago.

But bro, I'd be kicking down the doors of just about every pub in London and reminding the landlords that's it's their Goddamn duty as purveyors of booze and satellite sports to be showing the Swans in a prelim.
