Wondered who you would include in the All Australian team this year from Swans and whether a 4th place after the H&A could increase our representation compared to recent seasons. Who do you think?

Goodes would be the only definite. Kirk, Hall and Barry would be the only other possibilities I think. -
My solution to the "position" problem for All Australian is not (as some have suggested) six forwards, six backs etc but
Two KPP Backs (Scarlett, Reiwoldt)
Two Rebounding Backs (Barry, R. Smith)
One Old Fashioned Back Pocket (C. Johnson/Osborne mmmm????)
One Utility Back - Mobile and can play tall (C. Bolton/J Smith mmmm????)
One Ruckman (Gardiner)
Two inside midfielders (Voss, Buckley)
Two outside midfielders (Crawford, Black)
One defensive in and under midfielder (Kirk)
Two KPP Forwards (Lloyd, Hall)
Two Half Forward Flankers who also spend time on the ball (Ricciuto, Hird)
One Small Forward (Matera)
One Utility Forward - Mobile and can play tall (Tarrant)
BENCH
One Versatile Ruckman (Goodes)
Two Midfielders (Mitchell, R. Harvey)
One Versatile KPP (Pavlich)
Unlucky (in no order) - Hasleby, Bell, B Harvey, Simpson, Schneider, J. Bolton, N. Stevens, Lekkas, M. Clarke, B. Hart, Kennelly, Michael, Burns, Leppitsch, Cousins, N. Lappin, Akermanis, S. Hart, J. Brown, Lynch, A. Rocca, Coughlan, C. Scott, A. McKay, Smart, Wanganeen, Wirrapunda, Hay, O'loughlin, D. Riewoldt would be regarded as a forward.Comment

Goodes a certainty.
Barry a real chance, particularly if they want to "reward" the Swans with at least one more player in the team.
Both Bazza and Micky O' should go really close but will probably be edged out by Tarrant and Tredrea as the other two marking type forwards (with Lloyd obviously a shoe-in as the Coleman medalist and Matera a definite for the "small" forward role).
But at the end of the day, its a paper award only. What makes the Swans so good is their team effort and there's only one way that can be - and will be - rewarded.Comment

Schneider isnt unlucky to make All Australian he still has a little way to go before he should be considered.Adam Goodes: Rising Star 99, Brownlow 2003, 2006
