    Unsung Heroes

Just wanted to mention some guys who have got under the radar.

Andrew Schauble - With Saddo gone, even more pressure is on the key defender. I thought his efforts exemplified the whole side. None were better.

Craig Bolton - Slow start but really was good in the second half when Port got going.

Jared Crouch - Is probably still at AAMI Stadium running. Never stopped.

Think we have gone over everyone else.

Agree 100%, I just thought everything Crouchy did yesterday was particularly important, the tackles were vital, the handpasses led to goals and opportunities. He was simply terrific...has been all year!

I thought LRT played exceptionally well. Definitely his best game thus far. Sure he lacks a bit of the nous that is culturally ingested into the "traditional footy state's players" but he'll develop it over time. LRT's 1% were a big factor in our great first half. His body positioning, his legitimate bumps (ouch!), his surprising speed when desperate for the ball, were all very very pleasing signs.
Only 9 notes? How easy can it be!

I thought Ablett gave it a decent go as well. Surprised to see he only got two stats - he contributed much more than that.

Mathews is another one who did a superb job keeping Pickett quiet for the bulk of the game. If there's one player capable of breaking a game open on his own, regardless of the rest of his team playing poorly, it's Byron. But he rarely got free all afternoon, and even when he did he mucked it up.

              Fantastic effort by Benny.

Have to agree on the Mathews v. Pickett clash. I was worried about Pickett all game and Benny did a great job on a potential matchwinner.
