Ah, the early days of Eade

Just watching a game on Fox Footy 14. It's amusing to say the least. Leo Barry's has been playing in the forward line and just kicked a goal off his right foot. Roos is playing under the man who he eventually took over. Shannon Grant and Paul Licuria are both playing in the red and white. Greg Stafford's hair is a very dark colour. Matthew Nicks has hair. Troy Luff has too much hair. Troy Cook's hair looks suspiciously like it is in dreadlocks. Stuie Maxfield looks less like a hardened gaol-break than his modern day counterpart. Kelly and Dunks are both still playing. Micky O'Loughlin looks like the cutest little kid and can run freely and kick fantastic goals (he can still do the 2nd part). Tony Lockett is chunky, very chunky. Stevens is playing, only it's not Scott, but John. Frosty's on the ground, but he's not in number 12. Bruce is commentating. Swans are losing, but not by much. The SCG is packed.

    Reminiscing is good.

It's funny to hear of Leo Barry playing in the forward line!

That cracks me up even more - because he was a recognised goal kicker when he joined and the other week when he had the chance to shoot for goal his accuracy plummented <g>

Guys, how the memory plays tricks, 'recognised goalkicker' is a bit strong with all due respect, Leaping leo was coined I daresay cos' the leap was great....frankly the hands were not, he was exasperating on the half forward flank he is a revelation at the other end, unlucky not to gain AA selection this year and great to see a young(ish) Blood reinvented.

Incidentally his wife is expecting I gather.....
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

              And by 12 I really mean 13.
