Seeing we have the weekend off I thought I would throw this up. I was reading the Inside Footy magazine and in a article written by Crackers it referred to TC and how he could be interesting to the Swans as he has signed a modeling contract with a NSW firm and has a relationship with Jo Beth Taylor.

My question is do we want him and what will it cost us?.

I'd take him if he could reinvent himself as a key defender, pay him at an average rate with incentives if he does well.

My thoughts exactly - and may like the 'quiet life' in Sydney.

But only if our footy dept assesses he could be a good defender.

Hawks dumped him as he wasn't what they needed. If Freo is about to let him go... Does that tell us anything? I would agree that he has or had something but I wouldn't sell off either first or second round selections for him. The $ would have to be at a reduced rate to his previous contracts to make it attractive.

if it was a straight swap with scott stevens then i wouldnt have a problem, or like a 3rd round draft pick, with freo paying quite a bit of his current contract... nothing more than that... play him as a key defender...

He wouldn't need to reinvent himself . . . he's played plenty of football at CHB.

He would make an excellent pickup for the Swans - more than capable of taking a key role at either end, and maybe even with a bit of work, he might make a back-up ruckman.

I reckon with his speed and versatility he would fit Roos' game plan to a tee.

Mind you, I can't see Freo letting him go unless they are under severe salary cap pressure . . . he's too valuable a player.

Hey penga, I hadn't thought of that . . . Stevens being a WA boy.

I'm sure it would have to be Stevens plus a draft pick . . . but if Croad really does have an interest in living in Sydney, something like that could definitely work.

This is surely the most interesting trade gossip so far!

I wonder how cheap Freo would let him go, considering how much they paid for him a couple of years ago. Surely not a 3rd round pick though! And also to get them to pay his contract!
