It was 35 C in Brisbane yesterday maybe that sapped Adelaide.

I wasn't very encouraged by the Lions effort - they are a side manufactured to win finals - and certainly turned it on yesterday.

Their physical strength will be very hard for us to counter - will be very very difficult for us to beat that side.

If we do I hope we smash them as a tough physical encounter with that side would make it difficult to back up the next week.
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

They're the premiers - they're supposed to look good.

But this year is the first in recent times that the Lions have had to play three finals in a row. They could be sapped physically in the 2nd half next week which is when our boys should be at their strongest.

So stay with them early and run away with it in the second half backed by 70,000 red and white fans.

Actually all the big names look to have dominated tonight - we can only hope our guys can be focused enough next week and not play like deers in front of headlights.
He didn't look very injured to me!

They have also been unable to string consecutive wins together lately.

The simple fact is that if we can't beat them next week we don't deserve to win the flag. No excuses.

I'm the opposite-BRING IT ON!. This week will go forever, and at work my mind will be wandering VERY OFTEN. We have nothing to use and should approach the game with the same fresh attitude we did against Port. Finals should be ENJOYED. They are intense thrilling EXCITING times. The blood gets pumping, people start talking about us, the heart gets a beating a bit. Why this unnecessary negative energy guys!

Let's just get in there with a smile on our faces and go for it. If we aren't go enough, then so be it. But I know that when we are mentally relaxed we CAN beat ANYONE in the competition. That was how we beat Port last week.

                There is everything to lose.
These chances don't come around very often, and this year we are a genuine chance to win the flag.

The 'nothing to lose' attitude can be very dangerous IMO.
Hopefully those players left in the team from 96, and those who have since moved on will be having a chat to the team about how thinking about defying all expectations placed on the team is NOT enough.

Who cares if we have performed better than expected?

                This is our chance.
We have beaten Brisbane twice this year, and we are playing them at our home ground.
If the players go in with the attitude they did against Post, we WILL win.

Should we face Collingwood at the MCG, well, we've beaten them there too.....

We know we can beat Port, and Essendon for that matter.

                TWO GAMES.

                That's all

And they need to play each game as if their life depended on it.

This flag is up to one person, Paul Roos.

It is up to him to get the players mentally right.

We all know we CAN beat any team.
It's his job to make sure we do.

That I agree with. This time last week, I was still of the opinion there was nothing to lose, but once the final siren went against Port that all changed. Once you have earned a home preliminary final, its all in your hands.

This is one of the most even contests in years, with only PP previously looking a cut-above the rest of the finalists. Now that they've been brought back to the pack, this really is an opportunity. And while physically we still look lacking a little compared to the other contenders, the Swans' mental attitude this year has been a revelation, and in our speed right across the board we have a weapon that none of the rest of the remaining teams has.

Roos, Plugger, PK, Magic, Cressa, O'Loughlin, Maxie - these are the keys. They all know that opportunities don't come around too often - they just have to make sure the rest of the boys understand this come Saturday night.

The Lions are good, but they are not invincible. We can win this. We MUST win this.

Well that's the Lions' fault for not beating Collingwood!!! We did our job, they didn't do theirs

we still have unfinished business with brissie!!! im not concentrating on the "we've already beat them twice this year, so its gonna be hard to beat them three times" rather "last time they played us at TS they absolutely pumped us!"

                        WE HAVE SOMETHING TO PROVE!!!
