    Show your belief!

OK, our boys are going to bring us home the flag.

Help them! Show your support and your belief in them.

Write to individual players. (to the team typically goes into the void) Send your letters of encouragement, support and belief to

    Player name
    Sydney Swans Football Club
    PO Box 173
    Paddington NSW 2021

Put your name and address on the back of the letter (so your letter has credibility). Go for snail mail over fax/email. Let them see how many of you care enough to put some effort into encouraging and supporting the team. And, handwritten is best.

Remember, be positive, show your belief, be encouraging, stick to Roosy's game-at-a-time plan and don't jump the gun. No negatives.

Samples (you can work out your own, but here are some ideas).....

    Jude,
Excitement is building in the harbour city, what anticipation for another great clash for the Swans on Saturday!
It's great to see the commitment of the team. The self-belief and belief in each other is palpable. With a huge Sydney crowd willing another win, what a night!
    Onward to victory!
    GO SWANS

    Micky,
We're ready to see some Magic moves at Telstra Stadium on Saturday night!
What a team! It's great to see the belief and trust and teamwork. This is the bottom line, it makes all the difference.
    Onward to victory!
    GO SWANS

    Bazza,
Ignore the critics, these are the same dopes who had us wooden spooners! What would they know?
The team believes, we believe, that's all that matters ... and we'll just keep on proving them wrong!
    Onward to victory!
    GO SWANS

Bron, I know you'll consider this to be sacrilege... but what if we don't win the flag? What will you do then?
    We hate Anthony Rocca
    We hate Shannon Grant too
    We hate scumbag Gaspar
    But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

Olympic Gold medallist, Natalie Cook won gold for beach volleyball in Sydney.

She was told to eliminate all doubt and only be positive. Suddenly everything in her life became gold.........gold toothpaste, gold this, gold that, etc.

She bought a gold fish tank as she saw it as the perfect place to store all her gold trinkets and ultimately her gold medal.

The guy at the store asked her what it was for. She replied "To put my gold medal in."

"What if you don't win," he replied.

If you believe enough - 'what if' is so irrelevant, its a waste of time and energy to even give one second thinking about.

Where is her gold medal now? In that fish tank. Enough said.

Funny you should mention that, Charlie. At work we're going through a particular project's Post Implementation Review. You find out what worked well, and why - then you make sure you keep doing that. Then you figure out what didn't work so well, and why - and then you make sure you don't do it again

          Pretty standard really.

But seriously though, there's no reason why Bron's method WON'T work. a million and one things can influence what we do every day. I know I do better when those around me are encouraging me and confident that I can do well.

I'm going to see if I can find the time during the week to fire off a message or two to the boys - If I'm not prepared to take risks, why should they?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Bron's method definitely does work - I was a little sceptical until last Sunday afternoon - but now I have seen the light!

And BTW, this method has made my business turn around from a very lack lustre start to the year, to me being frantically busy and thinking of growth.

You've got to find the dream, believe it, say it out loud, go out on a limb and share it (that's how you prove your belief) and then do whatever you can to realise it. There are three ways that I think I can help the team .... believing in them, messages of support and cheering with all my might. I'm doing all of them. My voice has only just recovered from last weekend and I'm going into training for saturday night! Any of them, all of them, or none of them, may make the difference .... but at least I will know that I've done whatever I can.
