    Dare To Dream

    Dare to dream
You cannot control anyone but yourself
Ignore the dream takers (Port choked, so-and-so is in/out)
To achieve the dream, you must take action, be strong, be brave, be persistent, believe.

    Dare to dream
Articulate the dream (winning the 2003 GF)
Visualise the dream (see yourself holding the cup, wearing the medal)
Feel the emotion (how much better than beating Port!)

Be clear on the steps (beat Brissie, win the next game)
    Take action, believe, achieve.

    Onward to victory
    GO SWANS
    Dream, believe, achieve!

Lack lustre effort from the competition

You could be forgiven for thinking that Port and Brissie got done at the weekend. I've just watched The Winners on Fox. No joy, no enthusiasm, no belief. When Brissie won, there wasn't even a cheer for the team, Port sang a woeful song.

Compare it to the Swans last weekend. They'll keep that winning feeling because it's addictive.

    GO SWANS
    Dream, believe, achieve!

Lets turn the dream into reality.
      - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

I thought Port weren't going to sing their song until after the grand final.

They must've realised this was going to be their last chance this year.

I thought that too! Their rendition was shocking, they may as well have not sung it.

I think Choco is sapping the fun out of playing footy for some of these blokes...I mean you still have to enjoy it, even when you are flag favourites.

I think they finally realised how pathetic their song is. They were just embarassed

I'm sure it has no bearing on how the games will go at the weekend, but I was astounded at the lame song efforts from both teams (compared to the Bloods effort which drew comment from a couple of TV and print commentators along the lines of "I have never heard a more stirring rendition of a team song...I had goosebumps etc, etc")

It was like they were just going through the steps. Very poor compared to the Swans last week. They made me feel very proud.

I'm even doing visualising exercises. I'm picturing Maxfield and Roos holding up the premiership cup in two weeks time!

On the Sports show yesterday on Channel 7, Joanna and team were talking to Roos.
After the interview with him, they showed the last few seconds of the 1996 Prelim final.
I couldn't control my emotions, happy tears burst from my eyes. I just kept thinking we could have that overwhelming feeling again this year. All it's going to take is the guts and heart that the boys played with in so many games this year.

                  GO YOU MIGHTY SWANNIES!
