    GF tickets - the answer

    My letters have just arrived....

Tickets go on sale at 8am Sunday morning at the SCG.

Queue position tickets will be issued from 10 mins after the end of the game from a place near the Superdome. The queue ticket will determine your place in the actual ticket queue the next morning. To get your queue ticket you need one eligible membership card. One queue ticket for each person who lines up on Sat night. Each queue position can then buy a maximum of eight tickets but they must have the same number of barcoded letters with them on Sunday morning.

So, you get your queue ticket using your card, then go home, get up early and get to the SCG by 7am and find your position in the queue according to your number. You will need your letter(s) with the bar code on it - NOT your membership card!

Alternatively you can phone ticketmaster 1300 136 122 from 8:00am in which case you won't need a queue ticket but you will need to quote your barcode numbers .

P.S. If you go to the SCG without a number you will get one there but it will be after all the numbers issued the night before.

If you get there after your number has had its turn (ie too late) you will have to get a new number and therefore be at the back of the queue.

Thank you for the info - makes it easier getting a queue number. May we blitz them early and keep our queue position. Where abouts will the queue be though - near the superdome - we could all queue up in different positions.

It didn't say but I think it will be pretty obvious. My GUESS is the covered area bit around towards the parking building.

mmmmmm, wonder what's going to be the best option, the phone or the queue.

Looks like a Aust. wide phone number so will probly be for the other team's tickets as well.

It will not be released til 10mins after the game, lame. They apparently dont want people leaving at half time to grab a seat. You can buy 8 tickets per queue ticket providing u have 8 members tickets. Just who can jump the queue the best i guess

If they don't want people leaving part way through the game, then they've picked a bloody funny way to distribute tickets.

Assuming an average of 1 person acting for 3 members, that's still around 7,000 people deciding when to leave the game, because if you are at the back of that queue for tickets for the queue then you'll have no chance of a GF ticket. Over half will be unlucky.

Well this has taken idiocy to a whole new level. More complicated than a game of Mouse Trap.

I've double booked on Saturday night with a 40th birthday and was intending to race into town before the venue that has been hired closes at midnight. This has thrown a king sized hammer into the works.

JS, should this info be interpreted as one person in the queue equals one number equals one ticket. Can one person in the queue get one number and turn up the next day with six letters for six tickets for example. Alternatively can one member queue up with six letters and be given six numbers for the following morning?

Why is this weekend turning into a nightmare, when I had bugger all to do last weekend?

One queuer can represent up to 8 members (in both queues).
Apart from getting up early on Sunday, you should still be right to go to your party - its not going to take them long to dish out the queue tickets.

Why they couldn't just send us randomised queue numbers with the letters is beyond me - maybe they think that woever is prepared to miss the most of the PF is the most dedicated fan.

                            Something like this snaj.

Sat. night line up + 1 membership card = 1 queue position.

                            Sund. morning + 1 queue position + max. 8 letters = 8 tickets.
