    Over confident?

It seems that everyone is so confident that we will beat brisbane. People think that our form is great after the Port game and that our 2 week break is a huge factor.

But brisbane is a team on fire and i am expecting a really close game. I am not confident at all that we will win. Does anyone else think so?

Common sense, Brisbane's record in finals, and their return to form guarantees it will be a hard game . I'm all for positive thinking, but its pretty much out of our hands, and up to the troops who take the field on Saturday night .They know how much support they have already, so the balls in their court .
Sit down or i swear to God i'll have you shot.

I'll remain silent this time about my confidence re our chances to avoid upseting some people on this messageboard, especially after I saw the list of umps assigned to our game. It's going to be very tough.

I used to be a big fan of Adealide earlier in the year but after watching there last few games, they have serious tactical problems that even a plethora of big names cant hide.

The fact that they could stay with Brisbane for 3 quarters before the climate finally got to them, says more about Brisbanes form, or lack of, than anything else.

Although Brisbane will go in as favourites, I think the swans have improved marginally more since the last time the two teams met.

If you really think about it and I mean really think about it, the Swans surprised us all by their ability to not simply play well against Port but indeed LIFT for finals footy.

On Saturday night, they will have to play even better than we did when we beat them during the H&A games.

It is a big ask to play even better than that, but that is what makes this team so bloody exciting, because they just might!

What happens if there is another 10% improvement on last week's performance? I can see some easily if we can keep all 22 fit for the whole contest (only 19 against Port), but there might be even more.

The way this team has lifted for big games has been nothing short of remarkable and the common flavour for these games is to worry about our game and not try and just minimise the damage the opposition can do.

Whether the odds be great or small!

Do you think we were over confident before the Collingwood match? There was so much hype about it, record crowd, the fact that we've beaten them before at their home, state of origin match etc etc

              Just a few similarities...

                    Who's over confident?

Most people are optimistic and give us a good chance, and we are a good chance. But everyone knows it's going to be hard and we'll have to do everything right to get over the line. Let's just get the behind the boys, and give it one hell of a crack.

Living in Melbourne you would think It was Brisbane top playing Sydney last. We don't rate either with the media or public. People hope we will do well, but think the opposite.

Yes we have to play better than we did in Rnd 20.....but then we can play a lot better. We were flat for big portions of that game. Brissy got about 6 goals up at one stage didn't they?

Don't forget Brissy will have to play better this week than they did last week so there is just as much pressure on them.

I'm not over confident, but I will be surprised if we don't give it a real good shake. There are a lot of similarities to the Collingwood game (build up etc.) and one would hope that a few lessons have been learned.

Yes I am confident....we have them in the ruck contests and we match up well all around the ground, so long we're not playing in a mud pool I believe we can win against Brisbane.
Their form all year has been ordinary and I feel we're in the box seat.
We should beat them they're a bunch of geriatrics.
Feel free to shoot me down in flames if we don't beat em!!
