    Our game plan

Has anyone worked out our game plan yet this season.

I thought I had midway through, but now I am not so sure.

I suspect Roos has about 10, and can switch to anyone at any time in a game.

Listen to opposition coaches on TV and they are very guarded about their comments on us. I have watched both Matthews and Malthouse recently and they seem to have a non-descript puzzled look when questioned about us. I think they respect us a lot but perhaps don't know what to think about how we go about our game.

Roos seems to come up with a trump almost every week.

Comment by both of the above is something like "he uses his players very well given their run of injuries".

Hence him being awarded the coach of the year by his peers..

I think Roos has a lot of tricks up his sleeve, and some were displayed against Port, and he has many more in reserve.

We should see some on Sat night.
Hopefully we win well so he can save some for Port the following week (praying the Eddies don't make it )

Earlier in the season I formed the impression that the Swans had just one game plan, and when that didn't work, they didn't really have a plan B to fall back on. This was around the time of the loss to the Roos in Canberra.

But now I tend to agree with the thrust of this thread. Not sure whether its just that Roos has developed over the course of the season, or he's had the chance to try more things out, or that the players have learned to adjust better and carry out their instructions for that game. Probably a bit of all three.

Roos has often said that his is a very coachable group of players, and there's no doubt that their ability to carry out the game plan against Port to the letter was impressive - and critical.

Tie down their selected midfielders handball and run the ball out of the centre then kick it long into the forward 50........sound familar
