    Trades

I know its not the time to be talking about trades but here are some of the rumours doing the rounds.

Frosty for Travis Johnstone...... Would give up the club if frosty got traded.

    R'OK + pick 31 for Mcveigh and Rob-forster knight

Jude Bolton for Peter walsh and 4th round.

Just some of the rumours floating around dont know how true they are.

I wouldn't want any of those players.

And we'll worry about this at season's end. We have a prelim final on Saturday night, and that's all i can think about.

      they're all a bit far-fetched

wouldn't mind Frosty for Travis Johnstone tho - although they'd tear down the members stand at the MCG if that actually happened

      ....oh wait....

The Dees are looking for players capable of improving the side, not making it worse. Face it Frosty is gone at seasons end and its more than likely going to mean delistment. Wouldn't mind Johnstone but we would have to give up much more and frankly he isn't worth it.

Would give up the club if frosty got traded.
Looks like your not going to be a Swans supporter next year.

        R'OK + pick 31 for Mcveigh and Rob-forster knight
Right, so we are going to give up one of our brightest stars, for 2 duds and a crappy draft pick. Not going to happen.

Jude Bolton for Peter walsh and 4th round.
        Bahahahahahahahahaha
Thats the worst of the lot. Get your head out of that tight Brown hole of yours.

Thank goodness that they are rumors, because they are crap. I think people are pulling your leg or you have a very vivid mind and need to come out of the world where Frosty is the best player in the league. The sooner the better

No way the appropriate bomber trade is one of O'Keefe or Saddington for one of Lucas, Solomon, Jacobs or Bolton - these are all similarly credentialled players.

Jude Bolton for Peter Walsh... whats he doing........trying to get away from the Melbourne racetracks it's laughable

Sorry, Frosty_13, to burst your bubble, but trading Jude is pure fantasy. You must be listening to some rumours in Melbourne. Maybe from some broke players who need some money and are hopeful that Syndey might give them a chance to earn some easy dough. Jude will stay, unless Jude wants to leave.
If Roosy has any influence in the club, he should resist changing the players list as much as possible. We don't need a repeat from 96 when so many players left, making another attempt at the flag in 97 almost impossible.
Sorry, but I just hate, when people are spreading rumours like this in the most inappropriate time. Frosty_13, get life!

I know this is slightly off topic, but who were all those players who left after 1996?

The only player of any significance who left right away was Adam Heuskes (Rocca was of no significance on Sydney's list because he didn't want to be here). Grant left a year later, and obviously there were the normal level of retirements (eg Kickett) but there was hardly a mass exodus after 1996.

Frosty will retire to play as Captain of the reserves side, apparently has already been advised of such.

I have to say I would like to see Frosty go, for his own sake mainly. I can't see him making it back into firsts at Sydney just because of the number of other similar/younger players on the list. He would be a good chance of playing a part in the firsts at another club. He should at least be able to move to the SANFL/WAFL which would be better for him than playing out his career in the Swans reserves.

                        R'OK + pick 31 for Mcveigh and Rob-forster knight
I would like to see us pick up McViegh, like others here I am not sure about R'OK leaving... but again, he may have a better shot at playing midfield at another club.
Jude Bolton for Peter walsh and 4th round.
I would hate to see that.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                          Nice one . . .

how long did it take you to make up these 'rumours'?

Not a lot of imagination, IMO.

I heard a fairly strong rumour of a straight swap, Hayes for Bolton.

Why? Jude has just become a leader at the Swans and would have to establish himself at the Saints. There's never been the slightest suggestion that he wants to go home. Probably just a bigfooty poster getting excited about the article in the AGE (Jude being a Saints fan)
