Originally posted by Heavs I heard a fairly strong rumour of a straight swap, Hayes for Bolton.
well if that isn't dreaming.... but if it was true, and forgive me Jude fans, but the club would have to look at it very, very seriously. and I can't really see the Saints going for that trade, good as Jude has been this year.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I'd take Lucas.

He'll be signed up when he's put pen to paper and looked at life through the possibility of a $400 grand a year Sydney deal...till then he is available meat, my friend.

True,
but you normally hear murmurings around the club when players are about to sign, much like Lloyd earlier this year. The news going around is that the gap has closed substantially and an agreement is near.
400 K !!! Thats just crazy money, I dont think Roos is stupid enough to agree to such a deal. As an Essendon supporter I love Scott, but he aint worth 400 K, and if your club did indulge in such excess, it would only tarnish its reputation.
And in any case your club has gone down the path of developing its own young players, which is the correct decision.
