Can you believe this?
And then they have the further chutzpah to televise the bum-sniffing live against the Swans game to try and sabotage the ratings.
It's just one small racecourse! What do they think is going to happen?

so how do they judge the ratings anyway? It's always amazed me that they come up with these figures. Can anyone enlighten me?
If I leave 3 TV's on when I go to the game on Saturday night will that increase our Viewing audience?????
Here's my heart and you can break it

NRL states get the Dally M awards live. AFL states get the Brownlow.
If this is true the whole country should get the Brownlow and Vic, NSW, QLD and ACT should get the DAlly M.
If NSW are not an AFL state, then who are the SWans. Not to mention MElbourne Storm.
Anyway Charlie. No! ACT will get NRL.
They are actually the NRL Footy Show Awards not even close to prestigous!!!! - 'Best Falcon' is one of the awards. So glad us Sydneysiders get to see that instead of the highest individual honour in AFL.
I dont see why things need to be split into who's who of states and what game we play the most.
The AFL and the NRL are both national comps. The country should get a screening of both awards nights at a reasonable time. Its gotta be better then the bollocks that they usually dish up. Septic american crap. Piss it off and put the phucken footy on.

Rating are commisioned by a company set up by the major networks.
The company selects around 500 - 1000 households in each capital city. They ensure they have a broad range of people; families, singles, men living alone, women living alone etc. etc.
Each household is fitted with a device that records what programs are playing on the tv. Every week the results are collected and caculated.
They use an equation to extract a result from those 1000 people which gives a general figure as to how many people are watching a particular program in a particular city.
Then using some simple mathematics they convert the sums into percentage figures.
