I went to the GF dinner in '96.

Pretty good night , the mood was very much a 'Bad luck fellas, but we've had a great year' so it wasn't too morbid.

Most of the players, especially the young ones, were positively smashed. Good opportunity for the girls to make the big move!!
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

Is there going to be a general congregation point like the Glasshouse in 1996?

If so... the players better bring the Holy Grail with them there, on route to their little dinner thingy...

Unless we win the lottery this weekend (or maybe powerball tomorrow night) there isn't a chance in hell that we will make the GF dinner
            Bring it on!

Lounge suit means just a regular suit and normal tie worn most days by blokes who work in offices. Not a dinner suit with bow tie. Colour to match your lounge not mandatory.

Thanks for that I come from the rugged West Coast Of Tassie (a mining area) and to some people getting dressed up means taking you overalls and your mining lamp and helmet off

Just thinking.. for us poorer servants, we may be better served if we attended the GRAND FINAL at the MCG.. instead of going to the dinner.. goddamn I wish I could go tho..
