Nick Davis on the Eddie show

It was good to see Nick Davis with a cheeky grin last night telling Sam Newman he was suprised that Eddie let him talk to him at the Swans press day... and even Eddie seemed to have a grin on his face after Nick said hi and wished the pies luck...
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Of course we wish them luck, we match up pretty well with the pies!

And it was funny to see Aker on a satellite linkup telling Eddie that he must love the big Brisbane vs Sydney prelim final, battle of the salary cap concessions...

It had to happen eventually .Theres three ex Collingwood players at Sydney. If one of them wouldn't have been interviewed, it could have looked petty . No way Ed would've have been thrilled about it, but for the sake of not wanting to appear to be holding a grudge, or being seen as childish, he would've tolerated it.

Nicks comments about the grand final parade were spot on, lol . Maybe he should use a pope mobile type of vehicle .

Funny how Sam went out and met up with the Swans and tipped them.
I think he saw their confidence and was impressed.
                Good signs for us.

I loved it when Acker said he was working with ametures when Eddie called him Leppa.
And Eddie came back with that he though Acker played like a lepper or something lame like that :lol

I was lucky, I flicked accross during Love Or Money and saw the Swans on lol
The football gods were smiling on me

Yeah I thought that whole section of the FS was funny. Heard about if beforehand that they were doing it. Maggie fans down here will give Nick hell if we are in the granny. I think he would be better staying home and not going in the parade otherwise his mental state might be affected. If we play the Pies we need him in a positive mental state of mind rather than what we saw at SA. There will be plenty of anti-Nick banners. And on GF week do we think that Goodes should attend?

The Paul Roos / Sammy exchange was very good humoured. Other coaches could take a lesson!

It'd annoy Brodie Holland more if someone held up a " Brodies A Wanker " banner . It'd be accurate too . Afterall, theres proof of that

and Ruda I don't know whether the grin was forced but Eddie from what I heard does hold a grudge for a long time. He told a mate of mine that when they got rid of Davis they got rid of someone who was contaminating the whole team. They certainly turned the whole thing around to make him sound really bad. He doesn't seem to be as angry with Willo though, and Collingwood supporters I know bear Shaubs no grudges at all, in fact they quite like him. Eddie also said on one footy show that Willo will be given life membership of Coll. when he returns to Melbourne and /or finishes his career.

That's an interesting comment especially when you think back to last week when Willo got announced in the AA team and was quoted as saying he wished he had moved to the Swans 5 years earlier <vbg> wonder if he would have been offered a LM then

Snowy honestly this could go round in circles for another ten years if we wanted it to . If Nick was contaminating the team so much, why was Eddie still ' pretending ' to do everything in his power to re sign him at the end of the season? You'd think Eddie would have been pleased to see the back of him, if he was half as bad as he makes out, wouldn't you ? Bare in mind this epic saga commenced way back in Round 3, when Eddie demanded that Nick sign on again . There were a number of players out of contract at the end of that year, so why single out Nick ? Eddie didn't even have the full support of his mob, when he made the decision to go public on the Footy Show about it . Balme, Swan and Nixon all said Eddie had gone way too far . None of them hold a grudge against Nick, so maybe that says something . Ed's the club President, and its his job to act in the best interests of his club, i don't have a problem with that . But like you said, he turned everything around, and made Nick look like the asshole . I do have a very big problem with that . I was good friends with Eddie for a number of years, and yes he can hold a grudge . Thats his right, just like its mine.
