    Things at half time

Thought I'd just put a few thoughts down at half time. The guys are fighting it out pretty well, but making some disappointing errors.

Brisbane are scouting the packs much much better than us, while all our guys are flying.

Schneider really needs to improve his set shots. People keep raving about his accuracy, but it's been disappointing of late and he has missed quite a few gettable goals in recent weeks.

LRT and Ablett are standing up and doing a few nice things, while Doyle is doing okay in the ruck.

Kirk doing a good job on Black and Crouch has beaten Akermanis.

Hall is fantastic, but our forward line seems to be struggling to get scoring opportunities.

Some of the umpiring decisions are either strange or shocking. For example:
    - Lynch's free when he fell over (from which he kicked an easy goal)
    - Keating's mark paid, yet Saddo's identical one not
    - Decision reversed when O'Keefe had mark inside 50
    - Free against Hall after he pushed Michael when the ball had gone over the line
    - 50m penalty against Schneider when ball went OOBOTF - when have you ever seen that paid?
    - Schauble pushed Lynch in the back but no free kick.

Jude Bolton having another quiet finals game - needs to step up a bit more. Fosdike also not doing much.

Good thing is we're still well in it, making a great contest of it and our key players have had plenty of rest during the first half.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Well and truly over now. I thought we had it at three quarter time, but the last quarter has been really poor. Brisbane have had all the luck go their way, but the incredible number of skill errors and examples of sheer stupidity from Sydney have not helped. Ah well, it was a good effort to make it this far, at least.

It's not worth whining, but one minute (and three free kicks to Brisbane) into the game, I thought "those guys on the message board were right about the umpires".

Get on Collingwood for the flag.
