Doh know why Mal Michael came up? I thought if we are looking for a key defender, someone with the playing style of Jade Rawling would offer much more to us than a Mal Michael type.

Most teams these days use a strong-bodied negator and a skillful atheletic rebouncer as the two key position defenders.

D'Oh...I forgot Powell - so that's 9 young players who may have a real future!

The Lion we should go after is Luke Power...he has that little bit of class we lack, plus he is a high possession getter, which we also lack. Not a true hard bodied midfielder, but physically mature and not soft. Very fast, skilfull and a good goalkicker. Perfect replacement for Williams. Also has leadership qualities (IMHO) not up himself, but also not getting the respect he deserves due to being ranked midfielder 5 at the Lions. We have the cap space. He has premierships and might enjoy a new challenge. His best five years are immediately in front of him.

On the other hand he is one of only 2 or 3 young Lions who will form the next generation. They will really, really, not want to lose him.
