    Crowd Influence?

Interesting angle in an article in the Hun today:

"McGrath, who kicked the goal of the night when he bounced through a mongrel torpedo from 80m early in the third term, said the focus of the final quarter was to keep the 70,000-plus, pro-Sydney crowd out of the game.

"When they came at us in the third quarter, you couldn't hear yourself thinking, the noise was so loud," McGrath said. "I thought they would have picked up their spirits and come home really strong, but we thought if we could keep the crowd pretty quiet, we could still do it."

Did we lose them the game? From the state of my vocal chords 36 hours later I don't think so.
