Hang on a minute, what about Barry Hall. He polled 14 votes in the Brownlow last year and missed 5 through suspension. He has had a better year this year.

In almost all our wins he had a big influence on the result.

I reckon he will poll better than Goodesy in the Brownlow.

the first player you would pick is Goodes.....no question. And this does not demean Kirk,Cressa or anyone else , it is just logic.

I'll make my bold predictions now.

Best and Fairest - Adam Goodes
          Rising Star ? Adam Schneider
          Most Improved ? Brett Kirk
Best Club Man ? (tough cat.... one of the old guys either Stuey, Cressa or Willo)
          Players Player ? Adam Goodes

This is a very vexed question...I think all those mentioned would be deserving B&F winners...The Captain...Goodsie...Bazza...Cressa...
But what about Schaubs...Leo...B1 and B2: they must come into contention too...
The family will be at the B&F, so I guess we'll have to wait and see...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

our last brownlow winner 1995 paul kelly didn't win the best and fairest that year. tony lockett did. so i wouldnt say that adam goodes is over the line although he would be a worthy winner

The Melbourne press doesn't even mention Kirk.

I think the top five, in order, will be

                        - Kirk
                        - Goodes
                        - J Bolton
                        - Hall
                        - C Bolton or Schauble

Yes, I agree with this. Though if it isn't C Bolton or Schaubs at #5, it may well be Barry. Mathews will fill a top 10 spot also.

I think Leo will be in the top five as will Kirk and definitely Goodes.

The only one who might beat Goodes is Kirk.

The other two placings will be from Hall, both Boltons, Williams, maybe Crouch. O'Loughlin missed too many games. Cresswell's form was down a bit from his best and not as consistent.

Schneider will do well but not top five. Probably top ten.

Have our emissaries to the B&F function reported in yet?

JF sms'ed me to say that Frosty burst into tears on stage at the thought of giving footy away; and there was plenty of dinner to go round.
