Settle down there Reggi, stop being so overly sensitive !!! I shudder to think what your reaction would be if I started criticising your players and laying into your club.

You have to discern the difference b/w an opinion and a deliberate , thoughtless attack.

I'm just using logic, most kids that are drafted are Victorian, they grow up barracking for Victorian clubs, therefore their primary dream is to play for those clubs that they supported. What part of the above statement is offensive or incorrect?

As for Saddington and Bolton... Saddington I admit we've always shown an inteest in, and a few years ago was talked about in a trade for Caracella. As for Bolton I cant remember us actively pursuing him, Sheedy has said he likes the way he plays, but he says that of many players.

Williams left Collingwood in less that friendly terms, and has always said that he wanted a change of scenery, Schauble was discarded and nobody else wanted him.

Yes you certainly have had success with big name players ... Nick Daffy, Tingay (ok now I am trying to egg you on)

Lucky you weren't serious, otherwise you would have destroyed your argument by demonstrating a huge lack of understanding regarding the signing of those players...

Power announced today they have told Adam Kingsley and Che Cockatoo-Collins that they would be traded or de-listed and also have axed their vice-captain Stephen Paxman.

And Guerra, Koulouriotis and Morgan put up for trade too. Any of them worth having a stab at?

I hope you keep posting I find your comments interesting.
What was wrong with drafting Tingay? He turned out to be a very good runner.
Nick Daffy was virtually a freebie as Richmond were paying most of his salary and we still got ripped off.

I think Sydney is/could become a haven for top players who don't like the suffocating nature of Melb and Adelaide.
Barry Hall loves the relaxed nature/anonymity of Sydney
I wouldn't be surprised to see Port Adelaide players wanting to get out of there specially if they don't win the flag next year.

So you want to talk Dons?..let?s analyse the situation. Without salary cap rorts, the Dons are no longer the force they were. They even lost a couple of decent players, tough luck, no longer can you dump your garbage onto impoverished interstate clubs eh? Their ageing coach is no longer the messiah, except in the minds of a few Melbourne hacks, he splutters on, mainly to the media where he is contracted, but his time has been and gone. Those oh so knowledgeable scribes raved on what a threat Essendon were after they jumped the baby Dockers, (usual stuff, belt ?em in back play eh Sheeds? what an innovator!) that was short lived. As Hafey once said, the mark of a great coach/team is to win premierships again and again. Unlucky Sheeds you fail on that count. Looks like Lethal is the real deal though. Great thing about being in Melbne at present is the arrogance is finallywearing off Bomber fans just a tad??

They've hinted they would like to play for a team in Melbourne so I'd say all of those three are out of the picture.

If there's any of them to pick up I'd have to see Che-Cockatoo Collins he's still got fresh legs and could be good for a few years.

Is Neored so desperate for footy talk that he has to hang around a Swans site - isn't there an Essendon site that does the same thing?

There is nothing truthful, honest or logical about anyhting you have said.

Williams opted to join Sydney Schauble was not just 'dumped' actually a few clubs persued him including Port Adelaide who made a big offer but he - and later Williams opted to go to Sydney.

You are just a bull**** artist
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Collingwood didn't want Schauble, look at who you gave them in the trade; Kinnear. What a brilliant career he ended up having. He was seen as being too slow and unable to play on the bigger forwards..... This nonsense about Port Adelaide is utter crap.

Williams was mates with Creswell and Kelly, so Sydney was always his preferred option.

You really need to remove those rose tinted spectacles of yours

Haven't we been through the salary cap argument before?
We didn't dump our garbage, it was due to your previous footballing departhments incompetence that such players were recruited to your club. You're blaming the wrong people... and anyway Bomford and O'Connor were exceptionally talented players !!!! (restrains fit of laughter)

Their ageing coach is no longer the messiah, except in the minds of a few Melbourne hacks, he splutters on, mainly to the media where he is contracted, but his time has been and gone.
Now, now that is a little harsh, especially since people have written him off before, and have ended up with egg on their face. What does age have to do with anything? As long as a coach is competent and successful then age shouldn't come into the equation.

Jeez, I wouldn't want to be on life support, with you by my bedside.

No doubt Matthews is a great coach, of course the extra salary cap space helps. And lets not forget that most of the hard work was done by previous coaches at Brisbane. And Sheedy has won more premierships as a coach than Lethal.

Great thing about being in Melbne at present is the arrogance is finallywearing off Bomber fans just a tad??
Nope were as arrogant as ever, and rightfully so.

There was nothing wrong with the decision to draft them. I was being facetious.

Which is exactly what I wrote in an earlier post. I also stated that if your club continued to succeed then it would establish a generation of young kids that wanted to play for your team, much like Victotian teams. It's just that I have reservations about the long term buoyancy of your club.

You never know Sydney could get some home grown players back,Mark McVeigh,Lenny Hayes,Ray Hall(that would be a coup),

Lenny Hayes is settled in Melbourne, and St Kilda are about to enter a golden age (if they sack their coach). McVeigh isn't a huge loss, and Ray Hall has been a disappointment.

I think if you ask James Hird, he would say that he doesn't really see himself as a New South Welshmen.
