    ben mathews

i still don't see a lot of apologies for the ridiculous 'bagging' this guy has been getting from some this year.Time to shut the flop up , i'd say.Particularly after his great performance on saturday night.....the most possessions, six strong marks and tackliing until the end.
Will some of you loonies finally admit that Benny has been an important part of the defence all year???probably not.....

Has the odd brain fart but apart from those minor things has been a vital cog down back for us all year.

Has had a good solid year.

I agree with that, he has been very good this season and those bagging him (hello P46) have no idea of his real value to the team
      Once was, now elsewhere

He ain't really done much differently to what he's been doing for the past two seasons. Very much an unsung hero in the team - does his job week in week out and rarely receives the plaudits.

Yeah, i set up a separate thread directed at P46 seeking an apology for the crap he said about Ben, but he still could not.

Ben was great on Saturday, his opponent Craig Macrae did
            SFA.

But no, people who know phuck all about the game bag him and sing the praises of people like warfe

Lets not forget that p46 also bagged crouch, who thrashed
Acnemanis, and got stuck into Leo who should have made the AA
            side.

Agree too... Ben is very much an unsung hero who doesn't get the credit he deserves. Thank goodness the coaching staff have greater football nous than us...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Apparently Benny lead the boys who were at the Waterfront for a dip in the Harbour when Goodesy won the Brownlow.
