From what I just heard on the audio - he sounded very nervous.

He thanked his mother, who sounded so proud of him when they cut to her, the sponsors, his teammates, and especially Paul Roos.

I can't remember all of it though - I was bawling my eyes out instead and now have a massive headache from it <g>

ETA: I think Wanga was 21 when he won.

Okay that wraps up a good day for me with awards... I was having a good day when West Wing and Raymond won the major awards this just tops it off completely - of course I'm avoiding the fact that it was a three-way tie - I could have handled a two-way tie with Riccuito it's just the B one I'm not too impressed with.

Ohh well, at least Goodes got there and maybe he can show Buckley how to play the game properly when the play in the AAT - actually I'd like for Goodes and Willo to kick Buckley's behind even though they're on the same team

Just a strange thought that has entered my mind. Why did Adam go to the medal count with his Mum? Is he single? Did is girlfriend not want to turn up?

PS:- Seriously, well done Goodsey! I got an SMS from Goodes' biggest 'fan' CheerSquadSteve saying how proud he was of his 'favourite' player. Those of you in the know, know what I'm talking about... )

PS:- To the bitch near me at the Port Adelaide game back in June, I say "Up yours, ya frigging batalax!" I yelled out that Goodesy was favourite for the Brownlow, to which she replied that "her Wanga" was so much a better player, and would win the Brownlow in a canter.(just like Port would win the flag......) STICK IT UP YA YOU OLD WENCH!
