The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success. -
All Congrats to Adam - a deserved winner - along with Roo and Bucks - 3 great footballers.
I tipped this, I'd like to say - I remember watching him play for the Ballarat Rebels in the U/18's and he killed 'em on Grand Final day.
Best post 40 pick ever in the draft - and a very gracious winner - good on ya Adam!Comment

Adam, I committed to posting the count on RedAndWhiteOnline, hoping that I would be alerting our Sydney members to a Goodes win. Bye round 18 I had to build templates so that my shaking fingers wouldn't make a mistake. I was so thrilled to be able to announce Goodes Gets It.
The Brownlow is for fairest and best, you have played the game with integrity and gusto, no one could wish for a better team player. Enjoy it and strive for the best next year

Congratulations Adam. A worthy winner of the Brownlow. You are not only an outstanding footballer, but an outstanding role model for all of us in Sydney.
There was no more deserving winnerComment

Congratulations Adam! A huge honour and a very worthy one. You're a class bloke and it gives me goosebumps to think you're still only 23. You've got the Brownlow, you've got the Rising Star... only four more to go! Of course... that would be the Skilton, the Norm Smith, a premiership and the Luffy! We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!Comment

Adam, what can I say that hasn't already been said? I remember you taking a screamer playing fullback in the reserves in your first year - I said to myself, "that guy is going to be a star". I was at the Sydney vs St Kilda game at Waverley Park where you first showed us a real glimpse of your talent. I was there at the SCG when Greg Stafford got injured and you took it upon yourself to take the ruck and we got up by 2 points. I always said that if you ever got consistency in your arsenal, you would win Brownlows. Mate, that was #1.
We're all proud of the way you have been standing up this year - even when the side wasn't doing so well. Congratulations on a great season - I know there will be more awards, and maybe soon the ultimate award on the last weekend in September.
Most of all, we love your humility and down-to-earthness (if there is such a phrase..) Good on ya for taking your mum - she must have been stoked.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Minor Whinge - how did Bucks get votes when we played 'em late in the season?
I thought it was on his worst games for the season. BUT - I don't begrudge him winning a Brownlow - he does deserve it.
By gee Nic Fosdike cost Goodesy a bit - but if you read this forum Fossie will be traded soon!

Congrats Adam for an exiting ending to a great year. Maybe next year we can get the double...brownlow and premiership. This win has eased the pain of the loss on SaturdayComment

Stunning, well deserved victory.I was so excited. Amazing that the umpires got it right. Great to see a player take his mother - Goodes is definitely a cut above most players in intelligence and demeanour. I am proud he plays for Sydney.---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment

Adam - so many of us have expressed our heartfelt congratulations and good wishes in another thread at redandwhiteonline.com. I hope you get to see them - they started very soon after you won the Brownlow.
Whoe were those other guys on the stage with you? They detracted from another wonderful Swans moment from the very memorable 2003 season.Comment
