there was an artcile in Mondays Telegraph by Tim Morrissey which stated

"The Swans have already started negotiations with key players such as Kirk, who established himself as the best tagger in the competition this season.

Sydney have already approached veteran ruckman Jason Ball, who injured his shoulder against Fremantle in round 17 and missed the rest of the season.

Roos also assured that veterans Paul Williams and Stuart Maxfield would be back next season, while the club has alreay locked in Jason Saddington, Michael O'Loughlin and Goodes to new multi year deals."

Appart from these Pebbles is not yet signed (as far as I know). I don't know of anyone else

Looks like Kirk will have earned himself a bit of a payrise this year. But somehow can't see him going anywhere else unless the club really offends him with their offer.

Possibly some of the kids. Buchanan was on a one year deal this year but you'd think they wouldn't be in a hurry to sign him until they fully assess the list and decide on who might be trade bait and what they need left on the list.

Schneider, LRT and Powell were all resigned a short while back.

Is it possible for somewhere on this site to start listing player contract lengths, so that in the future, we have a good idea of how our team is looking

That is a very good idea.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Definitely a good idea - it'd also eliminate the whole conspiracy over who'll be traded or delisted, etc.

Henneman - leading the AFL to try to introduce the "Henneman rule" whereby a player who has signed a new contract in the past year can't be traded. Not sure whether the AFLPA agreed to this one in the end or not.

O'Keefe, Ball, Kirk, James and Hunt's contracts are all due to expire.

Fixter, Doyle, Schauble and Stevens have all been with us for 4 seasons, so it would make sense that they may well be OOC as well.

Sundqvist, Ablett and Buchanan have had 3 seasons - presumably last year they re-signed for either 1 or 2 more (I'd be guessing Buchanan for 1 and the others for 2).

A decision has to be made about McGlone (as with James).

All others are contracted beyond the end of this year.

Stevens said that he is contracted until the end of next year on the AFL chatsite

Lizz, wasn't it Chris Heffernan who was traded to Melbourne
rather than Aaron Hennaman in relation to the contract/trading

My feeling is that Sydney often signs the first and second round drafters to three year deal first up. A natural extension is a two year or longer contract. That might explain the case of Stevens. Doyle might not be OOC if this is the policy.
