    Equity in the competition

I would like to suggest a move to bring further equity into an uneven competition - a petition to be sent to the AFL banning Goldspink from umpiring any Sydney games!Perhaps we could send our comments in. Why does he hate Sydney so much?

I honestly thought Goldspink was one of the better umpires we were given, that young one last Saturday was disgusting, last name was Smith i think, he should never be allowed near a footy field AGAIN
    - Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Goldspink is a disgrace, if he is top 6, then the umpriring stocks are even worse than I thought!

        Anne,
IMHO equity isn't just about the standard (or lack thereof) of umpiring it has to do with how all the clubs are treated. I liken it to "Animal Farm" - all pigs are equal but some more equal than others. Until certain club presidents (who shall remain named McGuire and McMahon) are prepared to forego their blcokbusters and stop fighting tooth and nail for concessions that suit them (2 picks under F&S rule) then we will never have equity in the comp.
I reckon that if the bleaters had to spend one season in the Northern states they would be requesting more than we recently had until they pulled the rug from us. IMO it is disgraceful that we don't get a priority pick from NSW.
        Just my 2 cents worth
