More difficult for the Melbourne clubs though. This is one area in which the interstate teams have an advantage because it is often location as much as team that matters.

I suspect that Stevens will land up at Collingwood, but I also expect Port to play hard ball. There is no love lost between the two clubs, and Port won't want to give an advantage to one of their contenders for next year's flag. Collingwood don't have a particularly high draft pick to give away, and I suspect Port will hold out long and hard for Didak.

I think we also have to realise that we need to add some more quality to go a step further. We have lost Cressa who has been important. After all we only had two injuries as well which hurt us MOL and Ball. Throughout the course of the year we had a pretty good run and there is no guarantee that will occur again. Also will Kirk et al continue to do their stuff as well, the way some of the lesser rated players played required bucketfuls of commitment.
