There's nothing like a little love for your team to get the best out of yourself. I reckon M.McVeigh may step up to a new level if he was happy to be here.

This is all very reminicent of Nick Davis last year. I'd put money on him being here in a few months for a 2nd round draft pick. If he really wants to come, then we hold all the bargaining cards. And after these comments that he's saying, I'd doubt Sheedy would be too impressed.

Yeah, but his little bro' may not be nearly as excited - seeing as he may be cutting him out of an opportunity.

Nah, I reckon it will help. You never played better cricket than in the backyard when you were getting such satisfaction about smacking you brother's bowling all over the garden! Makes for great competition.

I think Sydney supporters have a tendancy to over-rate players from other clubs.

If we had given pick five for Davis we would have paid way over the odds for a fair player.

For some reason other clubs always over-rate S&Don players - and get sucked in by them - why would we trade for players from a much more mediocre side than us (albeit with some big stars)

McVeigh is a very ordinary footballer - Jacobs has become a fair bit over-rated - is a fair player but not worth chasing.

McVeigh has averaged abot 12 possessions a game over 3 years - his best season is 24 games for 291 possessions - we shouldn't get sucked in by this.

              Totally agree!

I fear that Ryan will go back to Melbourne due to family reasons. Therefore it makes sense to arrange a trade with Bombers for McVeigh (either a straight swap/3 way).

I think this stems from their contimued finals success, and the knowledge that they are of good 'Sheedy breed'

I suspect that the high rating of Bombers players will fade more if Essendon continue to struggle witha top 4 spot, and Brisbane will continue their move into their 'overrated' spot...

To add fuel to the "he's an ordinary player" thing.

Played all games and finished 15th in their B & F - so I would suggest not highly rated by them either

Just a quick question? Where did Nick Davis finish in Collingwood's B&F last year? I'd be very suprised if he was top 10.

He didn't finish in top ten at C'Wood .

In saying that though , how do you really get a gauge on players via B&F's when Darryn Cresswell and Andrew Schauble didn't finish top ten either ? They both had good seasons ...

Whenever I've seen him play I've thought he is a pretty handy player. Perhaps he isn't getting the right motivation and needs a change to bring out the best in him. Don't forget that he was the reserves B&F in 2000. Take a look at how some of our own players have lifted with a change of coach.
                              Bring it on!

Do we actually have any reliable insider information that ROK is destined to return to MLB?
