...he's probably the best available, which isn't saying much.
For all of you who think we need a CHB/FB...

You would think there's more than meets the eye.
Are they THAT keen for Brown?
Is Holland on THAT much that he needs to be traded urgently?
Has his recent knee problems had THAT much of an impact?
He's a 26 y/o fairly mobile 198cm KPP - even though IMO he's a bit of a battler it's quite strange that Richmond are so adamant they're keen to trade him.Comment

General consesus is that the knee reco has really knocked him around.
Saying that he is a 26y/o key position player who could hold down CHB with a bit of luck. We are not looking for a world beater just some one to stand on the big blokes and give us a contest, which allows Barry, Saddington, Kennelly and Bolton to play more of an atacking game.
I am sure Roos and the footy department will be calling on Richmond over the next two weeks.
Still think Jacobs is the pick of the KP CHB/FB if we can get him, but with rumours of Solomon going SnDon will be very keen to keep him.

Richmond have shown their desperation in the past to off load their very highly paid but underperforming/injured players by paying part of the salary of the players when they go to other clubs.eg Nick Daffy,David Bourke
If Holland is on a motza they might have to do the same.
They are obviously desperate to get rid of him so they would not worry about a trade.
The knee problems are a worry.Comment

Bradshaw was indicating today in Melbne press he will stay at Lions.

Not for me...he's not a top notch player, not the type that we need. I think his best option would be to go to Adelaide where he may be able to get a game with North in the SANFL. Dodgy knee, not worth the risk for the swannies, or any AFL team, cept maybe Collingwood, where even one-legged Holland could give them a bit of spine.
I mean, be realistic guys, EVEN RICHMOND don't want him...doesn't that tell you something!!!! We do need a good, strong defender though, a good, non-fragile ruckman, and two on-ballers/midfielders (one an in-and-under type, the other a receiver to replace Cressa).
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."Comment

Bloods,
Bradshaw's chirping up now because he wants to get in before the other ten or so players who are out of contract.
The Lions have got major salary cap problems and Lethal, last night, was more or less inducing the players to engage in a bidding war so that they can be part of the 'four peat' experience. The older players may fall for it, but I expect some surpises from younger players who have the medals and now want the income - and Bradshaw may be one of them. Besides he'll be that much closer to home.Comment

This year he very rarely won clearances a la Mitchell. He was very much a receiver...scored some great goals, though.

With Solomon, spin the club wheel and see where it ends up.Comment
