By the time I read the post the deadline of 8pm the following day was over. So I assumed I'd missed out this time.

If this was the case for everyone else, then maybe we should set a longer period to answer.

If not, why was everyone who was complaining about not getting a fair go at answering the questions, enough to have the format changed, not bother to participate??
Here's my heart and you can break it

Well Swansrock4eva these were your answers - I put the correct answer next to it.

Q1 ?Who was the first South Melbourne player to score 100 goals in a season ? worth 5 points
          Bob Pratt - Correct

Q2 ? Which player holds the club record for goals scored ? 4 points
          Bob Pratt - Correct

Q3 - Which team did South play in the 1945 grand final ? 2 points
          Carlton - Correct

Q4 ? Why was it called the blood bath grand final ? 4 points
The amount of reports. - Correct

Q5 ? When did Sydney first appear in the league finals ? 3 points
1986(swansrock4eva you said when South first appeared sorry but that?s wrong)

Q6 ? When was the clubs most recent wooden spoon ? 2 points
          1994 ? Correct(let us forget this)

          Q7 ? Who was South?s 1949 brownlow medalist ? 4 points
          Ron Clegg - Correct

Q8 ? Name the clubs original home ground ? 4 points
Some ground in Cecil Street? ? It was the Lake Oval so if that is in Cecil Street then yep you do get the points.

So thats a total of 21 not including Q8.

P46 you got every question correct (pause for applause) which nets you 28 points.

Off the top of my head it wasn't and I think Cecil St was where our first meeting was held, but I'll check that

                    Question 5 is a crock.

We are the same club, and our first appearance in finals was something like 1899 (or was it 1898?).

I realise we are the same club however I specified our Sydney timeline.

                        No, you didn't, actually.

Your question clearly implied the word "Sydney" as in the context of the club. If you were looking for an answer since 1982, you should have said something like:

"What was the first year in which the Swans made the finals during the Sydney era?"

The answer to that would obviously be 1986. The answer to the question you asked could have easily been 1898 (I looked it up to be sure). In fact, you could even make a case for 1896, when Collingwood and South Melbourne tied for top spot in the VFA, resulting in the novel concept of a "Grand Final" to decide the premiers.

I would have thought he was meaning Sydney since the name change because he used South in the questions that referred to earlier history.

That's what I though too. I don't know what you're whingeing about Charlie. Keep the quiz going Bleed Red Blood. Just maybe give a longer time frame, in which to answer the questions?

Not whinging at all - it could have been better expressed, that's all.

I agree, keep the quiz going. I didn't send in answers, but I did do them in my head. They were good in that they ranged in difficulty to a certain extent.
