    Davis and the banner

    Can anyone care to give an explanation of the banner situation when we played Collingwood in Round 21???

    I read on bigfooty that it said something about Davis being a trator and he had to be restrained when he read it???????? Is this true? What exactly did it say? Is it bull@@@@ that he had to be restrained?

    The banner said

    Davis = Trator

    The story of him needing to restrained is bull****, its just Collingwood fans getting a hard on at their own self-importance and thinking that they are so brillant for thinking up such a witty banner
    Once was, now elsewhere

      This ND stuff is getting extremely boring...but it must be occuppying the small minds of the average wobble fan as he or she waits for visiting hours to roll by again at pentridge...
      the ND banner read "Nick Davis = traitor" and the pic of it posted on the board had some very very unfortunate-looking pie fans holding it up...the subject was done to death at the time...I doubt even ND would have noticed it...and if he did he should have been concentrating on the game...
      I loved the humor in the B&F badge...the irony of it...
      The great thing about it all is that once again the wobbles have choked yet again...and with Mick saying that he only wanted quality players at the pies, it's now pretty obvious that the Pies without ND have far less quality than they did last year. The irony being that what the chokers actually need is a few more players of Nick's abilty, and a few less of the Grease Shaw's, the Hollands etc...
      "Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

            They are obsessed with this issue. All upset just because Davis hates Collingwood - perhaps that is why he left??

              Sometimes I just don't understand Collingwood fans. They should get over the fact that Nick Davis is at the Swans and focus on cheering on their own players. That's what the banner is for. Doesn't Eddie have a say in what goes on the Collingwood banner?

                It wasn't the banner that the players run through, it was simply a fan banner.

                  Oh I thought it was the banner they ran through.

                  That makes more sense that it was someone holding one up. As if Davis gives a toss about what some moron in the crowd is holding.

                    I want to make a replica banner in Swans colours and put "Nick Davis = family" or some such and take it to the next Swans vs. Pies match... but they may be over it by then (you never know) so I don't want to drag out the stupidity...
                    I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
                    We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
