There are 4 of them! - Equal highest representation with Freo and the Bulldogs. Crouchy probably being the biggest surprise. Well done all!

Does that mean it might be televised into Sydney at a resonable time.

Does anyone know who has the rights this year ? 9 or 10

9 had it last year. Hopefully the game at the MCG will be televised at a reasonable hour, but probably not for the Western Australian game.

Channel 9 probably has the rights again, so it would be doubtful as to what time Sydney gets the coverage. Melbourne will get some form of decent coverage. If Melbourne doesn't, I might go to the game at the MCG. Congratulations to all of the players named in the squad, especially the Swans players!

I don't think they have to play. They only get first go at getting into the side because of the All-Australian team.

Well they should be playing then.

Goodes would be awsome with the round ball.

Goodes is the most surprising ommission. They usually dont accept tall players but he can run well.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Not sure about Willo, but I think Goodes has some sort of operation performed. Its a pity, because he would have been sensational in the hybrid game considering his soccer background.

What is this about an operation on Goodes? Am I panicking for nothing? Goodes has played before in the International Rules series (I forget what year) and I think he played well. Is Kennelly playing for Ireland. If he is, we have the highest number of players.

Nope Tadhg isn't playing this year. He had a minor operation on a groin/hernia last Tuesday, and won't be fit to play the IR series, but he will be set to go come the start of pre-season training.

                      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Willo wasn't on the list of players being operated on for the Swans - Goodes was for minor surgery.

No idea why Willo was omitted.

Glad to see Kirky and Crouchy both in the team

There was a suggestion a few weeks ago that Willo was carrying some kind of injury - maybe sore hammies, or something like that. If so, he probably could use the rest.

I was also under the impression that Leapin' finished the season barely in one piece and am slightly surprised to see him named. Would have thought he could use the R&R too.

But Leo would never refuse a challenge or an opportunity.

I can't wait to see BBH charging around the field. He should be unstoppable!

Leo will in his element - the game is made for his style of play.

Kirk will need to play a bit differently to his normal style but I don't think he will have any problem. Gary Lyons obviously thinks the same.

Crouch would have been selected for sheer speed and acceleration.

Good to see that the worst omissions from the AA team (Barry and Kirk) have been rectified.
