Congratulations Adam on a fantasic season, clearly our best player this season and a deserving Brownlow Medal winner. Don't forget the pride this club takes in winning the Brownlow Medal and remember you join a very good list of former South and Sydney great who have won the medal.

Also remember that the Swans fans hold you in high regard and have voted you our best playing in 2003, a season where you and the boys proved EVERYONE wrong.

What has been even more pleasing though is your very humble approach and acceptance of these type of accolades. I know you believe there are no champions in this team of ours, but next time you look in the mirror my friend, you will see a champion smiling back.

Everyone, it's important that we get LOTS of messages to put in the book! When Adam pulls it out in 40 years to show his grandkids, it will be YOUR messages that will remind him of how much his season was appreciated.

Here's mine:

Goodesy, quite simply, the best season I've ever seen a player in red and white have. The way you dominate the opposition, never being beaten, rarely being equaled, was probably one of the most important reasons that we went as far as we did. To see a still young player take on so much responsibility, and succeed so magnificently, was incredible. This award could not possibly have been more deserved.

Congratulations, also, on winning the Brownlow and best and fairest. A worthy winner of all three awards!

The sky is the limit. What a fantastic season. While you were excellent it was good to see that so many of your teammates helped you to maintain that high standard. A great year for Goodesy and a great year for the Swans, but not quite as good as 2004 will be. Well done Adam, a true champion.
