    Write to Tony Morwood

Thank you for your email with regard to the disappointment of the 2004 draw.
The club did request 6 games in Melbourne and thought at worst it would be 5 in Melb. and 1 in Geelong but unfortunately the AFL did not see it that way. The Kangaroos game in ACT is a Melbourne game that we lose and have no control over it but the Western Bulldogs game that is played at the SCG is something the club is seriously looking at whether the benefits are there at all when I think we have only won 1 out of 5. So we are not even getting the 4 points!!!!!
In regard to the club not caring about Melbourne I would have to agree that could be a belief that many supporters have held for a while. But I can assure you that the Board and the new CEO see Melbourne as a very important part in our club and I hope they have endorsed this by my appointment as the General Manager Melbourne because I am a person just like you that felt that more should be done to create the Swans home in Melbourne. As you would realise our supporter base in Melbourne is good but only 25% of people who attend games are members. I hope to change that around so that it doesn't matter how many games are played in Melbourne, we all want to be a part of the red & white army because we are appreciated and know the club is heading in the right direction.
This reply came from Tony Morwood after my complaint about the 2004 draw.(sorry I don't know how to put inverted commas) I think as many people as possible should write to him to let him know their feelings. Then maybe something will be done .

Edit: Anne, you can quote something as above by typing (quote) before the passage and (/quote) after it - just replace the curved brackets with square brackets.

    Hi Anne,

I wrote to Tony last week and did get a response along the same lines. I would encourage everyone who lives in Melbourne who has the same issues with the draw to do likewise so the club does know how we feel.
