Yep - got to admit my first reaction to this isn't particularly positive...we certainly need more depth at present and picking up a low round draft pick isn't exactly inspiring.

But - as I've said before - we're in good hands - and Andrew Ireland and Roos know what they're doing...guess we've just got to wait and see....
    Regards,

Does this mean that O'Keefe is going to re-sign?

does anyone know what the official trade was to get brown to the tigers... i must say that their midfield is looking strong: brown, coughlan, johnson and campbell!

Well, nearly 3pm....nothing but silence apart from Stevens...looks like that's it....
Who do we think the big winners are...Richmond? Carlton? Essendon?
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Carlton have done well, Essendon a bit indifferent although if they've picked up #6 as it has been posted on bigfooty, they'll come up on top.

Is that it? No more trades? So we lose Stevens for a crap draft pick? Whoopee.

In a weak draft year it looks like we have given Stevens away for pick 45 and a miserable two spot improvement on out earlier but still late number 21 draft pick.

I can't see us getting a player of Stevens ability or better with either of those picks unless we find a pearl in an oyster. :-/

I am waiting for the penny to drop - Is there something more to follow? Where is the advantage?

I agree I am lost with this trade. (Unless Scott was going anyway - then at least we have a benefit of 2 positions and # 45 in the draft for nothing)

Is selection 45 lucky or something? Might be a luck factor.....

Apparently Port picked up #34 for Adam Morgan. We could have done better out of this deal.

And what happened to Nick Stevens? If he was holding out for Collingwood, then what an absolute d**khead. That is far worse than any player wanting to come to Sydney to move home. Its not like playing for Carlton would make any difference to where he lives, maybe in another suburb, WOW. I hope he goes through to the pre-season draft and Carlton get him anyway, sucked in.
