Rob - McGlone and James are both at points where we either have to promote them or delist them. I doubt the club will be willing to throw out their work on both of them now.

So, yes, someone has to go. I think it'll be both Buchanan and Warfe, and possibly even Nicks or Seymour.

I suppose it depends on the positions with contracts, unfortunately for Monty he is the only one that we are definitely sure is out of contract so he could be unlucky

contracts aside, if i had the decision i would place the departures in this order (depending on how many spaces we want)

        warfe
        buchanon
        seymour
        nicks

bearing in mind that we may also want to participate in the PSD this year also

he was picked up as a 17 year old as a long term project for a key position. his first season was pretty well lost to injury whilst he seemed to have a pretty reasonable season (i didn't witness any games) in the reserves this year

i would suggest that the club would be looking for him to show further development in 2004 and at least be pushing for a senior position in order for him to be retained in 2005

i would doubt very much that he is a candidate to be delisted

does McGlone (scooter) have to be promoted. Don't get me wrong. I love him and want him to, but I recall something about age and also years on the rookie list coming into play. Can we keep him on the rookie list with the potential of possible promotion??

Also what is the a limit of the rookie list numbers wise?

Having said that I think that if anyone is to go it would be Warfe. Seymour has too much experience, if he can stay injury free. And NIcks hopefully can turn things around.

i could be wrong but i think there is a 2 year maximum on the rookie list

in any event i'd guess that if he wasn't promoted he'd be putting out feelers to other clubs for a spot on a senior list

Already been reported that Warfe and Seymour - and possibly you would say Nicks - will be delisted if not traded.

Given lists that will almost certainly happen

                      I would think

Cressa - Frosty - Stevens - Warfe - Seymour? off

                      James off Rookie list

                      3 - 4 draftees

Sad to Seymour go though - but his lack of durability??

From the pure perspective of their relative importance, I'd rather keep Snapper than Nicks... although, to be honest, Nicks was always a real favourite, and until early this year I was still stubbornly holding onto the hope that he'd regain the spark he had under Eade... now I think that'll just never happen.

You would have to think that Snapper becuase of injuries is at the end of his career.

As for Nicks, while he has not managed to set the world on fire this year he is capable of playing good football in a number of positions. He was certainly a candidate for trade to get someting in return but is not a candidate for de-listing.
