The coaches have showen tramendous faith in the list, which is a big turn around from where Roos was at with some of his coments earlier this year after we fell into that slump from round 2 on.
So they also must have been impressed by what they saw during the year and the teams finals performance.
Now Roosy has used the word AWE a couple of times in relation to this team and individual players latley, and I am a liitle bit concerned, because if he is too much in awe to delist at least 3 of them then I think there is a grave danger we could stagnate. I think that unless we can unearth at least 2 more midfeilders next year and that coverted full back, it will be very hard to improve, especially if the players follow their coaches example (as players often tend to do), and become in Awe of themselves, then we really will have problems.
If we can improve by at least 10 percent, we might be a chance for the flag, but anything less and we still won't be able to beat Brisbane (or an equally good team) at their best, and that is what is required !!
I think they should have held onto stevens, just in case that performance againts Port in the final was a fortaste of what he could be in the back line, and then to have delisted Warfe , Snapper and Matty Nicks.
Well all I can say is that all our players will be working hard over the next 12 months, cos we certainly won't be welcoming any Stars to ease the burden of the shared work load at the Swans - maybe that is a good thing.
