Agreed. I'm not too fussed about Stevens either.

LOL...Yep, we may not have traded well (is anyone seriously saying that we are up to the cap, as mentioned on Trading Places on Fox on Friday*) but at least we didn't pick up a Tingay (great runner, pity about his playing career at the swans), Bomford, O'Connor or Daffy this time round...

*with last year's retirement of Kell, Plugger (again), Dunkley and Schwatta (players who one would think were well paid) and only StNick and B2 among arrivals, one would expect there to be quite a bit of room under the cap, notwithstanding new contracts for Magic, Goodes, etc...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Does this need to be explained again...

Forgive my ignorance there NMWB, perhaps as a fount of all knowledge you could enlighten us...please

Me - fount of all knowledge on Swans football - hardly think so!! But, the simple and quick explanation of taking Daffy in the draft is he was part of the deal to get Hall. We wouldn't have been able to get Hall if we didn't take Daffy off Richmond's hands. So, looking at the draft choice of Dafft in isolation is very misleading. If you want more detail, I've no doubt someone can jump in quickly and give all the specifics!

Certainly our imports from other teams have been at both ends of the spectrum: consider Plugger, Roos, Schwatta, Willo, Maxy, Schaubs, BBBBHall, and compare them with O'Connor, Daffy, Bomford, Tingay (recognised), Scott Russell, Brett Allison, Kevin Dyson, etc.

Also chuck in the Rocca debacle and the fact that Chris Johnson (previous year) cried when told Swans would draft him....but two years later he happily went to Brisbane!

Bolton comma C fullstop and Nick D I expect will prove excellent recruits, however it's pretty tough to get blokes who actually WANT to go to Syddey. Very glad we didn't get McVeigh (he's OK, but we've got blokes like him: Mathews, Leapin, Rhino, Fixter, Tiger to name a few) and Ray Hall - a fair dinkum dud.

                    Yep, am bored as well.

Not sure it's fair to stick Dyson in that group. He was a pretty handy player for the short time he was with us and really only gave it away so early due to business commitments. Watch games in 1996 and he was a key play-through man in the centre and a very good booming kick.

And Hall could still be on his way...

Dyson was actually a pretty good player - 18ppg and nearly 2 tackles per game.

                        Why even bother including Daffy.

Also, I think you (and others) overstate the case on Hall.
