    See ya Scotty

Well... there's always some players that have to make way, and this time I guess it was your turn. Good luck at Adelaide Scotty, and thanks for your efforts over the past couple of years.

Seen Stevens on Fox Footy, he said it was pretty much mutually agreed that he'd have better chances of a game elsewhere, and the Swans and John Longmire have helped him out during the last few days.

He seems a nice kid, really hope he does well at Adelaide and gets more opportunities at senior footy.

good luck to him. I hope he does well, unless he's playing against us. In that instance, he can play like a loser and spend most of the time on the bench

Thanks for the service Scott. I thought it was a pleasure watching him.

He must be wrapped to be going not only to a club who are crying out for a decent forward setup, but also to the club he supported as a kid.

I hope it works out for him - I was always a big fan of his (just like Ryan Fitzgerald - now THERE was a kiss of death). I'm surprised my OTHER pet favourite, Monty Buchanan, is still there - delistings still to come though!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Final delistings need to be completed just before the draft. Would like we will have two delisted to make way for four picks.

I have to say that in a small way I'm pleased the club are being so ruthless in trading away fridge players. Scotty Stevens was never going to make it here. Actually with his speed and skill deficiencies I seriously can't see him being a regular AFL football anywhere.

I always found him a frustrating player to be virtually honest. Some may say he never got a go. My view is that he had ample opportunity to become a regular member of our forward line, but never did.

I saw his future with us as a possible defender; didn't he play in the final against Port there?

But if he wanted to be a regular forward in a side it was probably right to leave Sydney.

I still think that he is the type of player who will excell at VFL/SANFL level yet will struggle at the highest level.

Good luck at West Lakes in any case Stevo.

                        Agree totally.
When you compare him with someone like Ablett who IMO really showed potential in the last 2 games of the year, it's not surprising he's going.

I reckon you'd struggle to put up an argument to say that Ablett has shown a lot more potential than Stevens.

Conversely I think I could say that I think Ablett HAS heaps more potential for development in him than Scotty Stevens ever will have.

I'm more interested in what a fridge player is, and if we can trade a fridge player for a washing machine player?
