Foxtel Ch.14 is doing re-runs of Best and Fairest for the Collingwood club once again.!!!

Channel 9 are showing it at 11:50pm tonight I think in Sydney.

    No idea about foxtel.

Complete lack of publicity in Sydney. Only one 2 paragraph article today in the tele about 15 pages in.

Thanks Barry. yes I agree no info - nothing re televising even on AFL site.
I am only keen because Swans players are in the team.
No Kennelly in Irish team - why?

        Tadhg's out due to surgery.

Just checked Fox online programe. There's nothing after today, so I guess it either means it's not updated, or fox is going offline at midnight

They did televise ads for replays of the matches, but I'm not sure when
Here's my heart and you can break it
I need some release, release, release
        We need
        Love and peace

the game was shown live in melbourne.
I won't tell you the score but all the swans players got a run with hall and kirk in the best players.

He was, wasn't he. Thought all our boys equipped themselves fairly well. Leapin' was good while he was on, though he didn't seem to play much of the second half, and the Captain got his fair share of the ball. Crouch was good late in the game.

Great performance from Bazz, I almost did myself an injury laughing when he was awarded a mark, but thought the umpire had paid a free kick against him (as they point in the opposite direction in Int Rules) - must have been a reflex action!! He'd already thrown the ball to his confused Irish opponent and started protesting when the umpie explained "when I point that way, it's your kick, mate".

All the aussies seemed a bit unsure of themselves in general play with the round ball - we were terrible at passing more than short distances. Most of Hall's good work came from strong marks and set shots. Kirk was good too, great disposals by hand especially. Leo Barry couldn't kick the round ball to save his life, but he really threw himself into the action - great to see. I didn't see much of crouch, but he was generally solid.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

From what I saw I thought Leapin Leo did great in defence, I didn't notice anything wrong with his kicking. I thought Kirk had an OK game, I think his lack of pace was shown up a couple of times though.

The fact that it's hard to control accurately in the air over long distances? The round ball tends to float - your normal backwards-spinning drop-punt won't help here. The aussies tended to boot it as hard as they could when they really should have been going for short chip kicks (and more of them should have been kicking off the ground if under pressure!)

that may have been due to the huge attempted screamer he did (ala tredrea-PF-style) im sure that would knocked the stuffing out of him, early in the third i thought it was... i was very disappointed they didnt show it in the highlights package at the end of each quarter... also, he hit a player on the chest about 40 away from him late in the game, i was impressed with that!

i was pissing myself when bazza gave up the ball...
