    Swans delistings

I have heard from a reliable source that Daniel Hunt and Amon Buchanan will be delisted.

Seymour, Warfe and Nicks were all very lucky not to be delisted.

Ray Hall was going to come to Sydney, but Richmond were playing hardball - I can't say I'm too dissappointed about this.

Can you mention the source? I've heard nothing about it.

If you are correct that is very interesting re Hunt.

Probably would point to the fact that Hall will end up in Sydney via the PSD.

Rumours are that Morisson from the Lions is going into the PSD so Geelong will probably take him so that means we are likely to be the only one gunning for Hall in the PSD.

I can only say the source is about as reliable as you could get.

if daneil hunt and amon go it will be really silly yes they have had injuries but when there playing in the reserves they always kick goals why would we get rid of them and plus ive heard noting about them getting delisted so i hope its not true

In the Pre Season Draft we will only use one pick and that will be at #14.

There are probably only two clubs ahead of us in the order that have a) enough cash and b) want a ruckman. They are Geelong & St Kilda, hopefully both of those clubs will be put off enough by Hall stating he wants to go to Sydney that they will not touch him.

That allows us to then use our first 3 or 4 picks in the National Draft to pick up some young talent.

Unfortunately for Amon, Scheinder has now progressed further than him and has his small forward pocket role for the keeping.

We also have a young guy on the rookie list by the name of McGlone which looks like he will be listed on the senior list. Both McGlone & Amon are similar players and there is not enough room on the list for both.

Hunt should be given another year IMHO, but hey he has been given 3 or 4 so far.........................

Only 2 I think - wasn't he drafted the same year as LRT, Powell and Schneider? What's more, he was very young when drafted and as a "tall" one would expect him to take a while.

That said, the club will have a pretty good idea by now about his application and whether his body looks like it will fill out. If they know he's not going to make it they might as well let him go now.

On the PSD issue, doesn't Richmond have the pick before Geelong? Richmond are pretty keen on Morrison by all reports so that may well leave Geelong to pounce on Hall if he decides to nominate.

That is correct, but they are under a cloud re whether they have the room to fit him in.

My understanding is that they have gone back to their players again and asked for more cuts to see if they can fit him in.

If Morrison does nominate it is a certainity then that Hall will be realeased from Richmond and end up in the PSD.

I would find it hard to understand why Geelong would take him when he didn't want to go, they also picked up Loats from the Hawks which may have filled their ruck positions.

Yeah but Amon was gunna start season 2003 in the senior team due to preformances from 2002 until he broke his leg and didnt really come back at his best in 2003. So technically Adam is benefiting off Amons bad luck

I sure Amon could of done what Adam did in 2003.. and if hes delisted then its a huge shame cos fully fit hes an excellent small foward and midfielder...

Tough industry isn't it, only need one bad break (no pun intended) and it can ruin everything.

I think they will go with McGlone over Amon, tough but McGlone has shown enough from all reports to be offered a go.

                            Ridiculous statement.

There was no way that Buchanan was in our top 22. Showed very little last year.
