    Aaron Rogers ?

The Demons have delisted Aaron Rogers who played TAC Cup with the NSW ACT RAMS:

    Anyone know anything about him?

Can't recall seeing him play in the Wizard Cup or anything about him at draft time two years ago.

He's a great young kid originally from Heathcote in Sydney and played for St George in the SFL under Craig O'Brien. Has a great athletic build for AFL tall and strong build. Sadly, spent all of his time in the VFL and couldn't break into the Demons top side for some reason that baffles me! Swans could do much worse!

I had an interview with him when he was picked up that i might now replay on 93.7FM Koori Radio on Saturday.

I have not seen Aaron play so I can not comment on his ability but I noticed on the Demons website that Rogers efforts were treated disparagingly. However , on the supporters sites the fans seem dismayed that Rogers has been delisted and consider that he has been harshly treated. What the true story is remains to be seen.

Given our recent history - he's a local Sydney kid so we are bound to want to get him

Aaron is at least worth putting on our Rookie list, if not a 4th round pick, he could be a handy replacement for Scott Stevens.

            Height 191cm

            Weight: 86kg

            Recruited From: St George/NSW-ACT U18

Date of Birth: 5 January 1984

He is only 3cm's shorter than Scott and he might have been homesick, he looked pretty good in the Wizard Cup compettition, never know might have cheesed off Daniher.

I was dissapointed when the swans let this player go .... I felt that he had a chace of being a KKP... Is it time to bring them home? Ray Hall and Aaron Rogers????

Ray, a now player, Aaron a rooki(would need to prove himself and select Nick Potter in the pre season draft - project player?

                local lads are the future!

they have been away to camp and nearly completed their apprenticeships - lets see how good they are!!

Aaron can play thats for sure.

He kicked 5 for Sandringham seniors in one of the finals in 2002 & kicked 2 in the semi this year with very very limited game time.

From what i hear the Melbourne coaching staff didnt spend a great deal of time at Sandringham games and didnt take much interest in his development.Played in a few Wizad cup games at the start of the year and seeing how crap Melbourne were this year i thought he would of been given a go.

Id love to see him in the goal square at his first home(Olds Park) in the goal square with Peter Dugmore.

Theres another who could be put on the rookie list..An 18 year old kicks 60-70 goals in his first senior year....

Very surpised to hear that he's not one of the official delisted players allowed to train with another club. I thought, being a Sydney boy, that they'd at least want to have a look at him.

According to the Herald Sun, Rogers is continuing to train with the Demons in the hope of being rookied by them.

Nick Potter would be a good rookie choice if he doesn't get drafted in his own right...
