The remarkable football career of Sydney?s Heath James has taken another turn, with the courageous Swan elevated back onto the club?s senior list.

James has endured a shocking run with hamstring injuries in the past few seasons and was delisted at the end of the 2002 season, before he was selected as a rookie list player for the 2003 season.

The son of former Swan Max, the 23-year-old managed to play two senior games in 2003 and has now played seven games since making his debut in 1999.

He played four games in 1999, but managed just one game from 2000-02, when he played in the round 10 clash against Collingwood in 2001. However, James tore his hamstring yet again during that match.

The vision of watching James shed tears on the interchange bench after the incident was one of the more emotional pieces of football in recent times.

Along with the promotion of James onto the senior list, the Swans have also upgraded emerging ruckman James Meiklejohn, who managed five games this year.

However, the Swans have delisted Amon Buchanan, who played six games in 2002, and Daniel Hunt who failed to play a senior game, after his time with the Swans was limited with injury.

Sydney great Daryn Cresswell ? who is now an assistant coach with Geelong ? has retired, as has another long-serving Swan Daniel McPherson.

Did anyone see sports tonight two nights ago? They showed cressa in the Geelong Cats Training gear. Didn't suit him one bit!!, He Looks much better in red and white!

Pretty surprised to see Hunt and Buchanan go. Buchanan was the flavour of the month this time last year. He has one bad year with injury, and the club offloads him, I don't like it. I know he's like Schneider, but the kid can play. He will bite us on the arse, if he gets picked up in the pre-season draft.

As for Hunt. Wasn't he a long term prospect? He's only been there 2 or 3 years.

Are Warfe, Nicks and Seymour still on the list? I've liked all of them over their careers, but I think it's probably time they moved on. So that the likes of Hunt and Buchanan can be kept on the list.
(I apoligise if those 3 have already been de-listed)
