Like all past players associated with the Swans, I wish him the best of luck.
Even Rocca and Licuria??
- Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in a world they've been given, than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!
yeah the posters on this site are getting to be so nice , politically correct (some of them not wanting to even critizise the players in case we hurt their feelings), it's a bit much really. Ihope that Rocca and Licca and shannon all pop knees in the preseasone and take no further part in 2004 !

I hate thinking like that! It will only come back to hit the swans 3fold worse if we all start hoping for opposition players to fall to injury, especially one as bad as an ACL. YOu wait and see, we'd all be crying like babies if this happened to Bazza or Goodesy in the preseason... pray it doesnt.. pray hard!
Well, I don't wish injuries on them, but I have no desire to see Shannon Grant, Anthony Rocca, Troy Cook or Darren Gaspar succeed. These guys walked out on us, so I have no sympathies for them. Simon Garlick, Greg Stafford, Scott Stevens and Paul Licuria, on the other hand, are players that didn't really choose to leave, so I wish them the best except when they play us.
We hate Anthony Rocca
We hate Shannon Grant too
We hate scumbag Gaspar
But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

Charlie, Troy Cook asked to leave because he felt he couldn't get many chances to brake in fully to our midfield with Kelly, Schwass and Cresswell. He didn't walk out on us because of money

I always had the impression that it was the Swans' decision to let Cook go, or at best a mutual decision much like Robbie describes above. He was languishing in the reserves, his confidence was shot and his skills were atrocious (probably due to the confidence factor). He's one ex-Swan that I'm very happy to see carve out a successful career with another club.
I'm happy to see Troy Cook do well. He never got a fair go at the Swans. He was played off the bench and was only given a short time to go onto the field and make a sudden impact. He was not in Eade's "in crowd". Eade had real favourites and if you weren't one it was really difficult. I think we would have definitely lost Kirk if Eade had stayed.
I maybe should have thought more before I posted. The main person that I wouldn't want to suceed from past Swans would have to be Rocca, for some strange reason I seem to hate his guts. In general I hope for past Swans players to suceed. But i would never hope for a footballer to be injured seriously, regardless of how much I hated them.
