    Reading between the lines.

How are we all reading Seymour's depature:

    1. He really did want to go to Melbourne with his family, and the whole thing has been played straight.

    2. He was told he would not play another senior game with the Swans, (i.e. limited opportunities), so if he wanted to play at AFL level he better go somwhere else.

I voted for option 1 as I dont see how Sydney or Seymour would benefit from lying about why he's leaving.

Considering that Roos player in the back line with him, and after a year of injury he walked into a side playing the finals, I'd say he was required.

I believe taht he wants to come home.

In all likelihood it's a bit of both. If Seymour were fit and firing and clearly a central part of a team on the up, the pull of his family might be less - or his wife may have made a different decision about her business.

I'm quite confident that he is leaving because of his family. He was given a chance as soon as he recovered, meaning he is still regarded as an experienced senior player.

Also, i dont know why he would lie. Wouldnt he be in some spotlight if he did? I dunno but it seems obvious to me.

The Club wouldn't fabricate anything, why would they? If they want a player gone, they're pretty straight forward about it.

Apparently the wifes business is very successful so it'd be no suprise that they'd go for that reason.

Very sad though, a great clubman lost.

I think its on the level.

I highly doubt the club would get rid of Seymour and keep Warfe for footballing reasons, so I don't think we dumped him, because the better option for doing that would be Warfe
                  Once was, now elsewhere

He is probally looking at his life after footall and if his wifes business has boomed in Melbourne then Melbourne is the place for a 27 year old (complete with injuries) to be! I hope he can get a few more games and is selected by another club. (Richmond - late selection) I feel that he does have something to offer, if injury free........ Swans have moved past the need to keep to many of this type of players (Injured with prospects) and he was the one to be shown that the door is ajar, walk if you want.....? Probally the best way for him to save face is to look for prospects south of the border..

From what I've heard, I believe that it's because of his family.

You have to believe it was his choice.

You want the club you support dearly to open about all (well maybe not every little thing) things to do with the players, they are the part of the team we all love. Apologies to those behind the scenes but that is how I feel.
